About the Author |
This project began as the result of an undergraduate term paper which I wrote for a class on the appreciation of the arts. We were assigned to write ten pages maximum at 12-point font on the artistic merits of a work of our choice based on the criteria put forth by philosophers of old. |

When I chose to write about my favorite book, written by my favorite author no less, I found myself researching extensively and scouring all of Saint-Exupéry's translated works to end up with a paper which I could not in good conscience cut down any shorter than twelve pages at 10-point font. |

Reproduced here is the better portion of that original term paper, edited for organizational purposes and to spare the reader a few cumbersome discussions on Plato, Aristotle, and Nietzsche, with a few additions as well. |
