This last year was filled with many ups and downs.  The Lord has been moving here in Tacna and preparing something incredible I believe.  Looking at things from one perspective, the road ahead of us is a difficult one.  Our leaders are becoming less and less for distinct reasons, yet God continues to maintain His church.  He has shown his omnipotent hand to be present in the works in Peru.  We stand fast in the faith that it is He who will sustain us and cause us to grow in His own time.  In 2006 we were able to recieve missions teams, a medical team, expand the Childrens Feeding Program, and more.  God allowed us to continue the regular work with the children, youth, and adults in the three churches as well.
In 2007 we have plans to continue with what was accompished last year and we have set goals to achieve.  This year we would like to see more leaders taking on responsibilities in the churches so that we may begin to move toward other outreach programs and ministries.  This means that we will need to focus on the training of such leaders so they are capable and empowered to succeed with God's blessing.  We are also ready to begin the internet cafe which will provide the church with some financial capabilities to plan and do special activities and social work.  If God wills, we will also be sending out another mission team for the 3rd straight year.  This depends on the state of the church come mid-year.  The Feeding program has officially begun to serve lunches as well to the children and this is something we plan to continue through 2007 and beyond if God provides financially.  Please keep this program in your prayers because it requires many workers and much time and financial committment in order to continue.
The youth groups in Ciudad Nueva and Culto.com are doing well.  Culto now has only Peruvian leaders which shows how God has raised up leaders in the last 4 years.  Please pray for the new leaders so they may be God lead and Spirit filled leaders.  Culto is currently looking to begin an outreach program to capture the interest of the skaters and soccer loving teenager.  Ciudad Nueva is doing well with the kids growing spiritually.  It is a long process with these teenagers because they come from a very animalistic culture.  The people in Ciudad Nueva come from Puno, Peru and there are many beliefs in that part of Peru.  The people say all kinds of things and the majority tend to believe them.  With us being ignorant to so many of these things we go on teaching Christ and every once in awhile we hear something said that is, for us, unbelieveable.  That is the fight we are in, and we ask your prayers to give us strength and support in this spiritual battle.
There is so much more that we can share but we have not the space nor time to recount the many blessings and trials God has entrusted to us.  We will continue strong in this fight which God has faithfully placed us in, and we encourage each and every one of you to continue to lift us up in your prayers and encourage us with your words.  They are as needed as out very presence here.  Thank you all.
The last couple months of 2006 were filled with many activities from the medical clinic, Christmas services and events, and a little construction before the end of the year.  It was very fulfilling to be able to see so many kids recieving donated gifts and to see a faithful family in the church recieve a two bedroom house built for them.  This year began with a mission team coming from Adventure Christian in Sacramento and another from Culto in Santiago, Chile.  Both teams were great and together we were able to do much construction, work with the children in different churches and nearby, and Culto was able to perform a few special activities.  With so much going on we could almost write a newsletter for each special activity, but in this newsletter we will share with you a little bit about this last year in general, the state of the church, and some of the plans for this upcoming year.
"For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
