Our First Night in Poland
On our first night in Poland we went to see a traditional festival in a small village called Karniewo. In this ceremony, unmarried girls make flower garlands and send them floating down the river. Supposively the bachelor who picks the garland out of the water will marry her. There was lots of singing, dancing, and poetry reading involved, followed by a bonfire with kielbasa for everyone (except the vegetarians!).
