People always ask what concerts I have been too, so I've decided to make a little page of concerts and who and what was there, plus my little thoughts on it.
My first concert that I ever attended was Dennis DeYoung at the Rialto Theater Joliet Illinois.  I was in first grade, I went with my Mom, Dad, Brother and two of my Aunts.  How was it?  I was 7, it kicked ass. I remember he had this stand-up comic as an opening act, and the only joke I can remember was the guy kept saying "I want some God Damn Pancakes!!!!".  I remember at some point in the concert Mr. Deyoung (As I know him)  talked about listening to old Rockabillia stuff, and he played I believe it was Great Balls Of Fire,  that was cool.
I saw Peter Paul and Mary when I was about 10 at the World Music Theater in Tinley Park IL. Can't remember all that much, I went with my parents, and my brother, siseter, and grandma.  There were alot of Hippies in the lawn section.
September 12th 1998 found me at the New World Music Theater once again for Rockstock '98, which would unfortunetly be the last Rockstock due to 103.5 the Rock changing formats less than two months later.  Anyways,  Rockstock, it was one of those radio festival thingies.  1 day, 3 stages, 22 bands.  Wow, first band that I saw was Candlebox, they sucked.  Then came Joe Satriani he rocked.  Stabbing Westward, They put on a great show, after that, we left to go meet the band, we got autographs and all of that other stuff.  It was pretty cool, I'll say that all of the guys were cool decent people.  Wow did they have some hot chicks hanging all over them.  Sucks to be a rock star.  Ok, so then saw Brian May of Queen, ok I guess.  Kenny Wayne Shepard was next, pretty cool for a young guy.  Went over and caught Local H on the 2nd stage, I was ditched by my two dates when they found us to be in the pit that was shady.  Snuck into the pavillion to my brother and his girlfreind, caught Creed that was ok.  Then went with my brother back to the pit to catch Sevendust, which sucked, we left early.  Got back into the pavillion and saw Rammenstein.  That was nucking futs.  In all the highlight was seeing and meeting SW, and then the pit for Local H.  Here's Heather's ticket (my g/f and one of my dates for the evening.)  As you can see it is signed by the boys of SW.
April 3, 1999, I went to see Stabbing Westward at the Riveria in Chicago.  It was cool, I went with, lets see, Heather, Lisa, Jen, Chris, Jim, Cheryl and some other girl I can't remember.  So anyways, we get there late because of my brother who was driving.
We missed the first opening band, oh well they probably sucked anyways. We get there in time to see Placebo open, it was kinda cool because
1.  The power went out half-way through their set.
2.  I was convinced that the lead singer was a female, I later found out otherwise.
So we are all down on the floor waiting for the band to come onstage, and we are up there close, the band came on, the crowd went nuts, and by the end of the second song, the girls feared for their lives, and fled to the back of the pit.  There we stayed for the rest of the concert.  It was really good one though.  We had a lot of fun.
Quote of the night: "That's not a cop!"
