HAILS JAKE! COULD YOU BEGIN THIS OFF WITH A LITTLE HISTORY ON THE FORMATION OF LUCIFER?

Not much to say really we haven't really been in any other bands before. that ever did anything but covers.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE NAME LUCIFER FOR THE BAND? WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH WITH THE BAND? We chose the name Lucifer because we wanted a name that was basic and simple and to the point when you here the name it is pretty easy to know what the content of the music is my vision for the band is to give back to the Christians what they give us ,hatred iv hated Christian for as long as I can remember I was raised that way and that's what drives my music and want other humans to see what filthy backstopping lying trash these people are. They force their illogical beliefs on people and if you don't agree you going to hell even other Christian one church is right and the rest are wrong I dot give fuck what people believe as long as they don't force it on other's humans cant evolve as long as this Jesus will save us and help me though my problem's philosophy is being depended on by people. People ask how the band can be called Lucifer and we don't believe in god. Lucifer before Christians came around was the bringer of light knowledge of the unknown and that has not a goddamn thing to do with Christ I could go on for hours but I wont I'm sure nobody gives a fuck anyway that's another problem with human's next question.

RECENTLY YOU RELEASED A SELF FINANCED FULL LENGTH CD (WATCHING THE CHRISTIANS BURN). ARE YOU RECEIVING A LOT OF GOOD FEEDBACK FROM THIS RELEASE SO FAR?

We haven't received to much feedback yet it is still fairly new but what have gotten has all been good so far we are not sending out to label's until we get some reviews on the album but it is still to soon to tell.

I READ THAT THIS CD WAS PULLED OFF OF SHELVES FROM A SMALL CHAIN STORE. WHICH STORE WAS IT, AND WHAT WAS THEIR REASON FOR THEIR ACTIONS, AND HOW DID THE BAND REACT TO SUCH A MOVE BY THEM?

Yea that those fucking Christian again we had in a local music store (sight and sounds) they said they would sell it but the next day they called and told us to come pick up the CD cause they had complaint's from customers the local section is next to the contemporary cock sucking section so they had Lucifer watching the chastens burn sitting next to Cathy lee sings gospel and most of their customer's are Jesus fuckers one guy said his whole church would label the store as devil helpers or some shit and he got scared I guess if the word got around and the Christians stopped shopping there he would go out of business we just let it go I did report them to a first amendment group that told me they put them on a blacklist of some sorts our manager tried to do something with the papers and local radio and a boycott but people don't give a fuck about their right they say they do but when it comes down to it most are to fucking lazy to care human lack motivation to do anything about what they believe in I try my damnedest to fight for what I believe and every body I know agrees with it but none of them will do a fucking thing about it other than think about it. What fucking good is that.

NOW I ALSO WANT TO COMMENT ON THE CLUBS THAT DO NOT LET LUCIFER PLAY THERE. WHAT ARE THEY SO AFRAID OF? HAS ANYTHING EVER HAPPENED AT A LUCIFER SHOW TO MAKE THEM REACT THIS WAY?

It is basically because the name and the drum machine and our devil chic lesbian dancers that masturbate with crucifix but we have never been given the chance to play for anything bad to happen.

Yes very we played out a couple of times when we first started the people said we were lame because we were weeding out the human element but I don't see any of them playing drums for us. all talk once again.

OK, WELL ON A LIGHTER NOTE NOW. THE SOUND QUALITY ON THE CD IS SEXELLENT. IS THE FINAL PRODUCT WHAT YOU WERE EXPECTING? WOULD YOU CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT THIS CD?

As for the sound quality no we are happy but originally the album had a comply different atmosphere to but the duplicators and Warner brothers made pull out all samples we used that really fucked up the original effect of the whole album and completely drained the evilness from the concept.

JAKE, YOU ARE THE GUITARIST AND DRUM PROGRAMMER FOR LUCIFER. DO YOU DO ALL THE MUSICK WRITTEN FOR THE BAND, OR DO ALL OF YOU CONTRIBUTE YOUR OWN PART?

I do everything but write the lyrics and sing the bassist contribute some adding different fills and stuff.

A LOT OF THE RIFFS ON THIS CD BLEW MY FUCKIN MIND AWAY MAN. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PLAYING GUITAR FOR? WHICH GUITAR PLAYERS INSPIRED YOU WHEN YOUNGER TILL NOW?

I have been playing for about 10 years I had be playing for like two years when alters of maddens (morbid angel) came out and it changed everything for me after that I stopped playing slayer and Kreator cover and went strictly to writing death metal the first time I listen to it I new that's what I wanted to do of course in the beginning every thing I wrong sounding like a rip-off of alters but I think that gone now and I have my own style I hope anyway.

WHY IS IT THAT YOU CHOOSE TO USE A DRUM MACHINE? IS IT THAT DIFFICULT TO FIND A SUITABLE DRUMMER TO YOUR LIKING IN YOUR AREA OF THE WOODS?

Their is no drummer's in our area that play death metal hell the only people I know that even listen to death metal in our neck of the woods are my band members our manager and our sound man.

OSMOSE PRODUCTIONS PUT OUT A COMPILATION (WORLD DOMINATION 3), WHICH LUCIFER TOOK PART IN. DID THIS COMP. HELP WITH THE NUMBER OF THE LUCIFER FOLLOWERS?

The only response we got from the Osmose CD was from a guy in Portugal (saterif) he painted the album cover for watching the Christians burn. So it wasn't a complete waste

WAS OSMOSE IMPRESSED WITH YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS? WHY DID THEY NOT PICK UP ON YOU GUYS TO RELEASE THIS FULL LENGTH CD?

I have no idea what they were thinking. They said they wanted to sign us but they were out of money for the year and would put use on domination 3 to keep us interested in there label. I have not heard from them since they asked us to be on the CD.

BEFORE I GO, I MUST ASK YOU SOMETHING. I NOTICED A FEW PARTS SOUNDING VERY SIMILAR TO THAT OF DEICIDE. WERE/ARE THEY AN INFLUENCE AT ALL TO LUCIFER? DO YOU WANT YOUR MESSAGE TO BE AS WIDELY HEARD AS THOSE OF BENTON'S?

I'll have to look into that I never noticed it. I've never been influenced by there music its all kind of wobbled together. I love there their debut album and Legion but they lost me after that I guess maybe the lyrics could be.
