Liu Xuan Enjoys Being a Model

After joining the National team, Liu Xuan hasn't spent her Chinese New Year holidays with her family for six years. "I wasn't used to it. I cried and sneezed all the time about this, especially when it was time to make dumplings on the New Year's eve. It's much better now. [I'm] grown up, and have more ability to get used to it."

"The team only had two days off for this Chinese New Year. The whole day on the 1st (i.e. the New Year's Day), half day on the 2nd and the 3rd. Normal training resumed on the 4th. We (Liu, Kui, and Bi) have always spent the Chinese New Year at Coach Lu [Shan Zhen]'s house. This year we went to Coach Liu [Qun Lin]'s house. She just had her new home renovated. [It has] more space." Liu Xuan was joking that since she practiced gymnastics, she spent more time with her coaches than her parents. It is just like staying home at her coaches' places. Sometimes she feels more freedom at her coaches' houses. They treat their gymnasts just like their kids.

There is a tradition for National team to have an annual party before the Chinese New Year. All the gymnasts have performance on the party. This year the party was held on February 2nd. In 97, Liu Xuan's group performed the Swan dance. This year they had a catwalk. They all used their own casual clothes. There is no time for casual clothes outside the gym. Liu Xuan has special passion of black and white. "Black represents mystery; white represents purity." Most of her casual clothes are comprised of black and white. "Whom did you learn catwalk from?" "Learned it without a teacher (a Chinese idiom)."

Liu Xuan has many wishes for the new millenium. One of them is health of her family. "For myself, I wish safety in training, and no injuries." She's full of confidence for the Olympics. Not only she has regular traning, she now has a new skill on the uneven bars. It could be her secret weapon in Sydney.

Huang Yu Bin: I'm the Sword I'm the Fire

"I was born in an acrobatic family. Under my father's influence, I could easily do leg split and handstand. My father also taught me some acrobatics basics. In 1970, the Liaoning province wanted to recruit some gymnasts. I was selected." An acrobatic child started his gymnastics career.

"In 1974, I entered the National team. Gao Jian was my coach. I competed in my first World Chamionship in 1979. I won gold on rings in the 1980 World Cup. My teammate Li Yue Jiu also won the parallel bars. That was the first time a Chinese man won a gold medal in gymnastics. Because my rings competition was held before the parallel bars, I became the first Chinese Champion in men's gymnastics."

A Strict Coach

After the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, Huang Yu Bin retired from gymnastics and studied at the Beijing Sports University. He had only studied for one semester. The national team needed more coaches. He went back to the gym and trained the women's team to start his coaching career.

"I had been a coach of the women's team for 3 years. Fan Di was one of my pupils. She won the uneven bars in the 1989 World Championships. That was my first World Champion pupil."

During this interview, Qian Kui told us that only a graduate from gymnastics major could be a coach in the national team. Huang Yu Bin was only a student before he coached, but his hard working and great understanding of gymnastics were very impressive. Qian Kui and Gao Jian persuaded the personnel of the national team that Huang Yu Bin would have the ability to coach the women. They feel lucky that they had the confidence in him.

After the 3 years in women's team, Huang Yu Bin returned to his own field to coach the men. His pupils include Li Chun Yang, Li Jing, Huang Li Ping, and Li Xiao Shuang.

As one of Huang's best pupils, Li Xiao Shuang still has the memory for the first time he met his coach in the national team. "That day, Coach Huang told us to stand in line. He had a very cold, but confident expression. He said: all of you came here because you want to be a champion, and you should be a champion. You have no other goals here."

"I don't just teach them the skills. I also teach them to behave. In the class, they should obey me. They can't just do whatever they want. I may be wrong sometimes, but no retort allowed. This is discipline."

Huang Yu Bin is known for his strict requirement. He is a friend outside the gym, but during training, his pupils rarely talk with him. He's too strict. When his gymnasts master a routine, his cold eyes would show some warmness.

"In the 92 Olympics, Li Xiao Shuang showed his exclusive triple tuck on floor. My heart almost stopped. I tried not to breathe hard. I was afraid that he noticed my nerve and got affected. After he finished his routine. I felt released, completely released."

He got the nickname "gold medal coach." He has to bear big pressure. He rarely talks. He only opens to friends. He always says that he has a lot of pressure to release every time his gymnasts win.

(snipped)

Wines and Friends

Friendship is Huang Yu Bin's treasure. He has the typical straight character of a northeastern Chinese. Talking with friends is the happiest moment for Huang Yu Bin.

"Whatever position my friends have, we are equal. I show my true emotion to friends. 'A long road would test a horse; a long time would test a person.' That is the motto for me to make friends."

"Whenever there is holidays, I drink with my friends and relatives. I don't know how much I can drink, it's like what the Chinese idiom says: 'A thousand cups are too little with intimate friends.' When I stay with friends, I could easily finish two cups. Of course, that would not be two cups of beer. I would have a lot to tell my friends. It's the moment to be true."

"I got drunk several times. The most memorable moment was when Li Xiao Shuang won floor gold in Barcelona. All of us were very tired. I was hungry too, and I had two cups of white wine. I didn't have any food, so I could not drink anymore. The whole world was like disappearing to me, but it was the most relaxing moment. I was very sick the next day, but I wanted to relax."

Being Alone

Huang Yu Bin has a close relationship with his son. After his wife Sun Xiao Mo moved to Canada, staying with his son became the most important moments for Huang Yu Bin. Very soon his son reached the age to attend university. He decided to send his son to Canada.

"After my wife left, I became the father and the mother. I was with my son all the time. Now he left too. I miss a lot. Whenever there's holidays, I miss my wife and my son very much."

"It's for my work, I have to give up something. I believe, when a man misses certain things from one field, he would be compensated in another."

Is the lonely Huang Yu Bin going to unite with his family and move to Canada? All his close friends answered with a NO.

"I have endless goals. As long as I'm still a coach, I want to train my

gymnasts to be a champion."

Ling Jie: "Luck Has Been With Me"

Ling Jie's picture was posted on the Champions' Wall just before the new millenium.

Reading Ling Jie's profile, you can see luck has been with this little girl, who came from an ordinary family: National Champion on the uneven bars in 97; had some trouble in the 98 Asian Games; 1st on BB and UB in 99 Samboo Internationals and won beam in Tianjin. "I progress each year. There were hardly any obstacles to me in the past few years. It has been very lucky."

She wasn't always that lucky though. People believe that it's not smooth in your own zodiac year. When Ling Jie was 12, she had two major injuries in her province. She went to a fortune-teller that year. She was told that if she could pass that obstacle, she would have a very smooth career. Her success proved that.

Ling Jie is only 17, but she knows very well about herself. "I'm not a gifted gymnast. I'm more of the kind that has flexibility and good comprehension. My disadvantage is I don't have a strong character. I get tired easily. I think of quitting whenever I have injuries. When I was little, it wasn't like this. Once I was naughty and jumped over a ditch. I fell and my mouth skin was seriously scratched. Mama wanted me to have a break from training, but I insisted to continue. Now I don't have that kind of momentum anymore. Maybe I really liked gymnastics when it was more fun and not so hard; now it's very difficult and not as interesting."

She became famous in Tianjin, and thus got many fans to write to her. Replying those letters became one of her hobbies at leisure time.

"Tianjin is history now. I have to start from scratch. For the Olympics, my major goal is to defeat Khorkina and win the unever bars title. If I could do well on beam, I have some chance too." Wish she has the luck through to Sydney.

Sang Lan in "Hong Kong Connection"

The following is taken from the program "Hong Kong Connection", made by RTHK in 1999.

I--Interviewer

N--Narrator

L--Liu Guo Sheng, or Uncle called by Sang Lan

X--Xie Xiao Hong, or Mrs. Liu, or Aunt called by Sang Lan

F--Feng, Sang Lan's mother

S--Sang Lan

W--Winston, Liu's elder son, or Ge called by Sang Lan ("ge" means elder

brother)

M--Mu, Liu's younger son, or Mu Ge called by Sang Lan

(Sang Lan also call them Ge Ge)

* M * -- Mandarin

* C * -- Cantonese

* E * -- English

Words on screen: An unfortunate disaster changed her life!

Clip: Sang Lan wearing blue leo with silver stripes on her arms (which I believe was from The 8th National Games in 97) running, doing a handspring front half and Tsuk 1.5 twist, both in layout position. She had good form, great height in air and good distance on landing. She stuck the handspring front vault, had a big step on the other.

On Oct. 30, 1998, during the news conference before she left the hospital:

S (*M*): Today I can go home. I'm very happy. Although I'm in a wheelchair, I'm still very happy. But if I could walk home today, it would be better.

Sang Lan lying on bed trying to sit by herself, then showed a few pictures of her on beam in the 96 American Cup .

N (*C*): The 17 year old Chinese gymnast Sang Lan accidentally fell on vault during warm up for the 1998 Goodwill Games in the United States. She had a severe spinal injury, which caused her to be paralyzed. She had to retire her sport.

At home in wheelchair:

S (*M*): I always have these dreams: I see myself walking, running, and biking. [I feel] very happy. Walking, running, and biking. (Smile) Then I wake up. (Sigh)

I (*M*): Then unhappy?

S (*M*): Hmm, it's not unhappy. (Sigh) (Continue from where she stopped) [I notice] I'm lying, not walking.

Sand Lan in wheelchair with the Liu's walking in a mall:

N (*C*): TheLiu Guo Sheng couples are Sang Lan's guardians in New York.

In a Barbie store:

S (*M*): I saw it. I saw it last time [when I was here]

X (holding a box with a Barbie sitting in wheelchair, *M*): Want this one?

S (*M*): Yes, this one. I saw this one last time.

L (*M*): Really?

S (*M*): I was just saying that I want a one on wheelchair. I didn't see it.

L (*M*): You want this one. A Barbie in wheelchair.

N (*C*): The Uncle Liu couples are Chinese Americans. They have been investing in Beijing for more than 10 years. When the Chinese gymnastics team went to New York last year (in 1998), Mrs. Liu was invited to be the team leader in honour. From then, her fate starts correlating with Sang Lan.

At home:

X (*M*): I think she has some luck. That is… She fell as this, it was not easy. She was still alive after the fall, this was the most important part, and then she fell in the United States, plus she has our family, who have time to take care of her.

L (*M*): As time goes on, we feel that we can't arbitrarily abandon her, or think of her as a burden, or dispense her. Sang Lan is like a new member in our family. Our children accept her, and feel happy about it.

I (*M*): Do you two treat her as a daughter?

(Both laughing)

L (*M*): You can put it that way.

Clip of Sang Lan vaulting a handspring front layout half in the 96 American Cup on the TV

S (*M*): Aunt, you see. (Very excited)

X (*M*): Did you get hurt on this vault?

S (*M*): Hmm, I twisted 180 degrees then...

S (*M*): Now I watch my competitions in the past, and I'm happy. Every time I competed in the United States, I could not watch myself on TV. (Smile) Now I have them on tapes.

Clip of Sang Lan on floor in the 96 American Cup on the TV

X (*M*): Some people don't want to see their performance in the past [after they get hurt]. They would feel sad and lost. She never has this kind of feeling. She likes to watch it. She was the one who asked us to look for these competitions for her. She was born optimistic. (Smile) Her optimistic spirit is just like that. She is like that.

Sang Lan in New York's Time Square on New Year eve:

N (*C*): Sang Lan's optimism causes many Americans to see her in a different way. She is the first Chinese being a guest in the New Year eve countdown [in New York's Time Square]. Presidents and celebrities wrote letters to her, and visited her in the hospital. In half a year, Sang Lan changed from an unknown athlete to a media focus.

On street in New York:

An American asked Sang Lan (*M*): Are you used to New York now?

S (*M*): I slowly... I like New York. I think New York is very good. People here are nice too.

At home:

S (*M*): When the USA media made interviews with me, I didn't know how they would think. I don't think I'm a hero. I'm just an ordinary person. I'm handicapped. Why should I act fake? I want to be an ordinary person. I'm already handicapped. (Smile) I have to face my life. (Stop smile)

Showing the Barbie in chair, and the paper cranes she got in her room:

Sang Lan doing exercise in bed

N (*C*): Everyday, Sang Lan has to train herself as an athlete, but her goal is not a gold medal anymore.

S (*M*): Doing serious training is good to my body. The muscles will be stronger. I can slowly hold things myself. It also prevents my muscles from atrophy.

S (*M*): I believe I have to rely on myself in the future, and I will have a better life. Although I can't move, I can still do many things. (Nod) At least I still have my brain! (Laugh)

Showing her in bed and on vault alternately

N (*C*): Crawling up again after falling is the belief every gymnast must possess, but after her athletic career ended, Sang Lan still has to crawl up from everyday defeats.

S (*M*): If I can't crawl to sit, sometimes I think of giving up too. I was a gymnast, [the skills were] so difficult, (Nod) on vault, twisting in air followed by landing. Now I can't even crawl. It's sad when you try to compare. Imagine, I could do difficult skills when I was a gymnast, now I can't even crawl from lying. (Nod)

Mother combing for her:

N (*C*): When Sang Lan was training in China, she rarely had time with her mother. They did not expect that they have this chance to stay together everyday due to a severe injury.

F (*M*): When I first came here, I [felt] didn't want to live anymore. We only have this daughter. She has all our hope. Now she's like this. It was very sad to me.

Showing Sang Lan's baby pictures

N (*C*): Sang Lan was brought up in a family in the city Ningbo in the province Zhejiang. She is the only child. She started gymnastics training at 5, got selected by the national team at 12, then trained in Beijing. In 5 years she had only been home 3 times. No wonder she is not intimated with her parents.

F (*M*): We've been here for so long, and I knew we are going to return China. One night I asked her: Sang Lan, who is closest to you now? She answer: Aunt, Uncle Liu, and Ge Ge. (Laugh) She just said that.

I (*M*): She didn't mention you?

F (*M*): She didn't mention me.

N (*C*): Mrs. Liu is the aunt that Sang Lan talks about. Both she and her husband told us that they understand more about life from Sang Lan.

Mrs. Liu burning incense. She may be a Buddhist.

X (*M*): Failures in business and losses of money always make us, the business people, feel sad. Losing money, losing business, comparing these to Sang Lan's incompensatory loss (watching a Buddhist drawing), they are not losses anymore. They're everything but your body!

L (*M*): We all have complex mind. Worrying about this and that. We can't forget the past, and worry too much about the future. This puts a lot of pressure on us. For her, she doesn't worry too much, and her life is happier. This is something I could learn from her.

At the Burke Rehabilitation Center:

N (*C*): Sang Lan has to go to the rehab center to receive physical treatment every week. Her another challenge is to overcome the language difficulty.

The nurse asked Sang Lan about her wool hair band, if she wanted to put it on. Sang Lan answered with simple English.

I (*M*): Do you understand them?

S (*M*): I understand a little. The simple words are fine. My listening skill is much better than speaking skill. If I don't know how to say something, I rumble. (Laugh)

During training:

Nurse (*E*): Can you put this here to hold you, and this hand to reach?

Sang Lan trying:

S (*M*): Mum, support me…

Trying really hard to get up:

Nurse (*E*): Pull, pull, pull!

Her mother pushed her back to help:

Nurse (*E*): No, no help.

S (*M*): Don't help me.

Nurse (*E*): Let's try a different one.

Stretched one of her leg:

S (*E*): Sgretch leg? (Learning how to say it)

Nurse (*E*): Stretch.

S (*E*): Everyday?

Nurse (*E*): Everyday. At least once a day, better twice. Okay?

Sang Lan on the way home outside the house:

N (*C*): Mr. Liu's two sons come home every weekend. Today is Thursday. Sang Lan has a very relaxed mood.

S (*M*): I kept thinking [about their come back] when I was using the computer. I think about it too on the way to the hospital. Ge Ge are going to be home. [I'm] very happy.

Inside the house:

S (*M*): When Ge Ge are back, I talk a lot. I feel happier, and I really laugh hard. (Laugh)

In Winston's apartment, Winston speaking on the phone:

S (*M*): Hello, Ge Ge?

W (*M*): How is your mum?

S (*M*): Mum is sorting clothes, and I'm looking at her.

W (*M*): At what time did you stop training today?

S (*M*): As usual, at 4:30.

N (*C*): Winston is Mrs. Liu's eldest son. When his mother decided to take care of Sang Lan, he helped as an assistant. For half a year, Sang Lan lived in his apartment at Manhattan. He was the one who took care of her. It was easier that way to go to the hospital. He indicated that he has treated Sang Lan like a true Mei Mei ("mei" means younger sister).

W (*C*): At that time, my feeling toward her was ever closer than an ordinary Ge Ge. Besides treating her as a Mei Mei, I also had some pity toward her. There were too many feelings mixed together. My feeling was very intense. (He used "intense" in English.) When I make friends with people, I expect them like me because they admire me, not because I'm paralyzed or disabled. I try to treat her this way. [It is] more in a way as a true Mei Mei, not as a disabled.

N (*C*): Two teenagers with very different fate met together. Winston was raised in Hong Kong. He came to New York to study at 15. Last year he got a Master degree in Economics at the University of New York. (Showing Winston checking stock information on computer) He is now a financial analyst working at an international company. He's 25, and has an ideal job.

Winston and Mu having dinner in the apartment:

N (*C*): After Sang Lan and her mother moved, there are only Winston and Di Di ("di" means younger brother) having dinner together every night. It is not as lively as before.

M (*C*): When she was living here, I didn't think I would miss her (he used "miss" in English). After she left, I feel... Although she's living in Mami's house now, but the warm feeling is missing here, and I have one less person to speak with.

W (*C*): I used to be the one who took care of her. Now I don't see her [everyday]. Of course I worry [about her]. If I know she is at Mami's house, I would not worry.

N (*C*): Wiston's job is to analyze information of the European and the Asian stock market. Due to the difference in time zone, he has to work overnight. During the last half year, he was focusing on taking care of Sang Lan.

W (*C*): After I started taking care of Sang Lan, I noticed that it was not as hard as I expected it to be. Sometimes devotion [makes it] feel happy. From that point, I felt I wanted to devote. I also want to have more responsibility. I want to be a better person. This incident let me gain the desire that I want to be a better person.

Winston and Mu walking on street on their way home:

N (*C*): Finally it is the weekend. Winston and Di Di are rushing to get back to their home in New York suburb.

Inside the house, Sang Lan, her mother, Winston and Mu:

S (*M*): Ge. (Winston tapping her head.)

S (*M*): Ge, how come you look slimmer?

W (*M*): Slimmer? Really?

M (*M*): Everyone she sees, she says he's slimmer.

F (*M*): I think Mu Ge looks slimmer too.

W (*M*): My hands are cold. (Winston put his hands in Sang Lan's neck.)

S (*M*): Ah ya! Ge, stop!

S (*M*): How come you look so different? I don't recognize you anymore. (Smile)

W (pretending feeling awful, *M*): Can't help it. Days are so tough without you.

M & F: Ah Yo! Ah Yo! (Pretend feeling mushy)

M (*M*): He had some honey before we came. He has a sweet mouth now.

S (*M*): Really?

W (*M*): Yes, I had some honey before we came.

Mu, Winston and Sang Lan singing Karaoke song "Xin Tai Ruan" (meaning "heart too soft"):

N (*C*): Winston has many hopes about the future.

W (*C*): I hope I can proceed step by step on my job, and have promotion each year. I also hope I can transfer back to Hong Kong in two to three years. (He used "transfer" in English.)

N (*C*): He has hopes about Sang Lan too.

W (*C*): Although she's paralyzed, she has very good factors in the United States. No other Chinese has had such fame as her here. If she has the motivation to use these good factors for herself, I think she could be more successful than I am.

S (*M*): I don't have the hopes that Ge has, because he can realize his hopes. I never think about any hopes. All I had was gymnastics, everyday it was gymnastics, nothing else. [I had] no other goals.

Sang Lan sucking air to train her lung function:

W (*M*): Vow, you suck like that?

Winston showing Sang Lan how he does it:

S (*M*): You have to breathe deeply too. (Mocking Winston) You're treating.

W (*C*): She's 17, but her mind is similar to a 12 or 13 year old child. It is like going back to childhood when I stay with her. The good side about children is they have no worries. They don't look for worries. If everyone could be as simple, and have less worries, it would be happier, including myself.

Family preparing Chinese dumplings for dinner, Sang Lan trying to make a dumpling:

N (*C*): Sang Lan's appearance [in the family] broke the gap between the two generations. She brings them closer.

L (*M*): Children stay better with children. [Winston and Mu] don't have much to talk to us. In a few sentences [when talking to them], we would turn into lecturing them.

W (*M*): I'm not lying. Last night I dreamt that you walk again. You said: "Ge, I can walk." I didn't believe, then you stood up. I said: "Vow, really?"

S (*M*): Just wait for that day!

M (*M*): I dreamt that when I was holding you, you told me: "Mu Ge, you don't have to hold me anymore. I have some feeling now."

S (*M*): The whole family is having dinner together, of course it's a happy feeling.

Winston wrapping a cloth around Sang Lan's neck:

S (*M*): I'm in a barbershop now. (Being funny)

Winston cutting her hair

S (*M*): Ge, don't cut a hat [style] to my hair. Give me a good style. I have to face other people too. (Laugh)

M (*M*): Sang Lan, Ge has no experience. Why do you let him cut it?

S (*M*): He didn't tell me he has no experience. (Mu and Winston both laughing.) He has started already, and you tell me he has no experience, then I should stop? I rather let him finish it. If he stops now, how would my hair look?

N (*C*): They are all teenagers. Although Winston admires Sang Lan's innocent personality, he finds it hard to understand her desireless mind.

W (*C*): To me, I think I have a colorful life. I have tried many different things when I was 17. I gained a lot of experience in U.S. I've been many places. In contrast, Sang Lan is 17. I think it's the most pitiful that she had no contact to the world. She seems like she doesn't understand many things. There are many that she has not experienced yet. Maybe everyone has different goals in life. For me, I will always look for more; for them, enough is good, comfortable means good.

Outdoor, Sang Lan sitting in an automatic wheelchair, Winston running:

N (*C*): Sitting in an automatic wheelchair, Sang Lan once again experiences the feeling of speed and freedom.

In a car, Winston driving:

S (*M*): Ah, so happy!

Winston taking the wheelchair off the car, Mu holding Sang Lan out of the

car, the whole family going to a park:

N (*C*): Although Uncle Liu's family treats Sang Lan as their daughter, they decide to let her return China after careful consideration, so she can continue her education and have Chinese medical treatment. No matter how much they are going to miss her, they believe Sang Lan's hope is in China.

X (*M*): She only interacts with our family in the U.S. She would become our pet if she continues to stay here. She would not be able to interact with the society, because she had big language difficulties. In China, she can make a lot of friends in the rehab center. She can interact with the society. This is good for her to be independent.

Sang Land standing with the help of a supporting board:

S (*M*): When I first stood up with help of the supporting equipment, I was very excited. I noticed I was taller. I was happy. But I still can't walk. It's only supporting equipment. Of course I wish I will walk again some day, walk by myself. I would be very happy, very excited.

Liu Xuan--The girl across me is glorious

(Short interview taken right after women's prelim competitions in Tianjin, the original article is from the Tianjin's Daily newspaper.)

url: http://www.tianjindaily.com.cn/docroot/199910/12/km01/12141504.htm

Liu Xuan is the team captain of the Chinese women's team. She is the only member on the team who has been competing in World Championships. She won the World Cup beam event in 1998. Many journalists have been complaining it would be a regret if they cannot reach Liu Xuan in Tianjin.

In the qualified competitions, Liu Xuan only competed on balance beam and uneven bars. Surprisingly she only got 9.450 on her best event, the balance beam. Fortunately she can calmly face this fact now, "I think I did (the beam routine) great, but the score was so low. I did the same last year at the World Cup. Maybe the judges have different opinions."

"When I first looked at my score, I was shocked. But I told myself, I'm the team captain, and the competition is taking place. If I don't control my emotions, it would affect the young members." She still had that feeling clearly in her mind, "of course, I felt it was not fair. I called my coach and my parents immediately when I got the go back to my room. They did their best to console me. In fact, I knew it better than anyone. The results are determined. It does nothing good even if I think more about it. Concentrating on the following competitions is much more important."

She has been competing for years, it would be natural to assume that she has a lot of similar experience. "No, this is only the second time. The first time was when FIG devalued my one arm giant followed by geigner. Their reason was the skill would hamper growth, how ridiculous it is!" Liu Xuan finds it difficult to dismiss the memory.

She was in smile: "This kind of feeling is reaching the limit of my endurance." But she will continue to endure. "If my body can stand the training, I like to compete again in the Olympics." The future after her gymnastics career would be academics.

When talking about the incident that she would be replaced by Ling Jie in the bars final, Liu Xuan tried to be rational: "Honestly, I would like to compete with Khorkina. But if the team wants to substitute me with Ling Jie, I have no problem with that decision. I may have no individual competitions, but I wish all my teammates good luck."

Her happiness is contagious to me. The girl across me is glorious, wish you the best luck!
