| ROSA On April, 23rd, catalans celebrates Sant Jordi´s day (St. George, the patron saint of Catalunya) also known as the rose´s day or the book´s day. People offer their loved ones a book or a rose. | CORREFOC The most important festival in Barcelona, this celebration is dedicated to the Virgin of Merc? Barcelona´s patron saint, and is held around the 24th of September. During this week lots of different activities are organised for every taste and age. You should not miss the "correfoc"(literally run fire: be pursued by the powerful fire dragons that come from all Catalunya), nor the "espectacle piro-musical", impressive fireworks, synchronised with the Montjuïc fountains, together dancing at the sound of classical music. LAS FIESTAS DE LA MERCÉson las fiestas mayores de Barcelona celebradas la semana del 24 de septiembre, día de la Merc? Se organiza todo tipo de actividaded, para todos los gustos y todas las edades.
