They where all taken to the operating room and delt with. But Mineko had to stay. She was the worst hurt. She was to stubborn to have let her friends die, that’s why she was in this mess.

A doctor walked out of the emergency room. “I’m sorry.”

“What do you mean you’re sorry?” Wufei shouted as she bolted out of his seat. Duo and Heero had to keep him from pouncing on the doctor.

“We did the best we could She lost too much blood. She was shot too many times. You guys are lucky to even be alive.”

“Like hell.” Milliardo said. They where all there, standing in the cold waiting room. All of them being Noin, Milliardo, Une, Heero, Duo, Trowa, Quatre, Wufei and Sally, and believe it, Marimeia was there with Une. Une had been here picking her up when they all had arrived after their mission. They where all torn, and their hearts were broken. Une and Noin cried. Quatre cried with them. Heero tried not to, but a single tear ran down his face. Wufei was bawling as he yelled at the doctor. Milliardo and Trowa tried not to cry all that much. But their friend just died and there was nothing they could do about it. Duo was punching the wall and Sally was crying a little, and trying to keep him from hurting himself.

“We tried.” The doctor said firmly.

“NO!” Wufei. Yelled, with Duo not helping Heero, he got free of his grip. And lunged at the doctor and struck him in his jaw.

“Stop!” The doctor shouted.

“No! You go right back in there and revive her! Now! I will not let her die!” Wufei rushed into the room. He saw Mineko lying on a white bed with a blank sheet over her head.

He ripped it off of her face. “Mineko!” He shouted. The others came running in, as did other doctors and nurses. “Revive her!” He shouted. It was a growl they had never heard come from Wufei. It suited someone like Milliardo much better.

“We…Fine.” The doctor didn’t know just what made him change his mind but he tried. They worked for almost ever on every possible way to get Mineko’s heart beating again. Wufei paced the room. He finally gave up and pushed the doctors aside. He plugged Mineko’s nose after tilting her chin up.

“Sir.” The doctor tried to protest. But it was no use. He let Wufei. It would do no good, but it would give him hope.

“C’mon Mineko.” He put his lips on Mineko and breathed. He then pushed on her chest. He repeated this many times. He finally broke out in tears again and started pounding on her chest. “I won’t let you did! I love you!!!” Hhe shouted. They where ‘all’ shocked. Wufei actually loved Mineko. They couldn’t believe it. “LIVE!!!!” he screamed.

After about fifteen minutes. Mineko’s eyes flew open. She took a deep breathe. Her eyes where wide a full of fear. Miracles of all miracles, he was alive!

“MINEKO!!!” Quatre yelled. They where all now even more surprised, quatre was light headed and nearly fainted. Most of the other women and nurses in the room, even doctors, where completely speechless Especially the doctors.

“Wufei?” Mineko asked. She was so confused. She didn’t know where she was, and she couldn’t remember anything. Nothing other than Wufei. Wufei and…and her friends. That brought back all the memories of the last battle.

“Oh my god.” Wufei sighed in relief.

“We…we did it.” Mineko’s voice cracked. “YES!” Mineko sat up, holding the blanket over her chest.

“Mineko…” Wufei bent down to Mineko’s level, their eyes locked. Wufei’s eyes where puffy and red, and his cheeks where tear streaked from crying. “I…I love you.” Wufei bent over and kissed Mineko.

In the months fallowing, the best news ever arrived. Actually, a lot of news arrived. But most of it was the best news they had ever heard.

Mineko was finally out of the hospital, and they where all working fine. Mineko had become a full member of the Preventers Organization, and she was doing just great. When they had left the hospital, the doctors and nurses threw a great big party for them all, and wished them good luck.

“Mineko, do you have the reports asked you to get?” Sally asked as Mineko and Wufei rounded the corner to the main office. It was a very bright and sunny day out, perfect for the happy mood everyone had.

“Yes ma’am. I have them right here.” Mineko handed Sally a purple folder.

“So what do you want to do?” Duo’s voice was heard as him, Heero, and Quatre rounded the corner as well.

“I don’t know.” Quatre said.

“So what is our next assignment?” Heero asked ash he walked over to Une’s desk. “Well, you guys can take a break. A vacation how does that sound?” Sally asked.

“I think it would be fun.” Trowa said as he came around the corner.

“Well, lets tell Milliardo and Noin about it when they get back.” Mineko suggested.

Wufei eyed Mineko.

“Duh.” Duo said. Milliardo and Noin finally arrived a little later. They were all in the main office talking when Une popped her head around the corner. She had gone out to run some errands. “I’m back.” She said. “And I have a surprise for you all. The room quieted and they all looked at Une. She went behind the wall and came out with a wheel chair. And who other should be sitting in it, than Treize. His daughter, Marimeia was at his side, and helping Une was Dorothy. Everyone was there. Sally, Une, Treize, Marimeia, Dorothy, Milliardo, Noin, Heero, Duo, Trowa, Quatre, Wufei and Mineko. The entire gang. And Wufei decided it was a better time than any.

“Mineko.” He said calmly. Mineko turned to Wufei and looked him in the eyes. “I…Will you…Will you marry me?” He got down on his knee and pulled a box out of the pocket of his jacket. He opened it and showed Mineko. Everyone in the room gasped.

“I….” Mineko was speechless. “Yes.” Mineko said. “Yes, I will.” Wufei slipped the ring on her finger and kissed her. Everyone in the room clapped.

In the time fallowing that, they found out that the little girl Melissa was adopted to a wealthy, and very rich family. She sent a picture of her and her knew family, and a picture she drew. And when she found out that Mineko and Wufei where getting married, she wished them all a good luck.

And after that, Mineko and Wufei got married. It was huge. And everyone at the Preventers HQ was there. It was just so grand. Even Relena came. She couldn’t miss it, even if it was her enemy’s wedding. Mineko and Wufei where so happy after that.

“..And do you, Mineko Hon take this man, to be you’re lawfully wedded husband till death do you part.”

“I do.” Mineko said. She turned to Wufei. Wufei pulled the veil off of her face.

“You may kiss the bride.” The sermon said. It was the same sermon that had helped Mineko the sort time before, and gave her the bible. Mineko and Wufei kissed. It seemed like forever. They where truly happy and they would forever be happy.

And the excitement didn’t end there. Mineko and Wufei found out they where pregnant latter after that. It was a baby boy, and Mineko was going to name him Chang Kinji. All the girls at the Preventers HQ held a huge baby shower. Mineko got bottles, diapers, clothes, money, and pacifiers, everything she would need to take care of Kinji.

When Kinji was born, he was a beautiful baby. He had black hair, and black eyes. He looked like Wufei so much. They where both so happy. Everything was great after that. Even though Kinji had a little problem with being left a lone at night. He tended to keep everyone awake at night. But…what do you expect. He may look like Wufei, and act like him sometimes, what with his first words being onna, kisama, and katana. But let me tell you…he had Mineko’s lungs.

And from then on, Mineko said goodbye, as a warrior, for the rest of her life.

And that concludes out story, A Warriors Goodbye.
