 EPISODE 1:

                     THE BIG DAY! LONG AWAITED!

“Kakeru-chan!! Time to get up!!!” A voice called up from downstairs…

“Mmm! I’m up! And don’t call me chan!!”

     “But you’re…”

“Just don’t!” Himeko Kakeru got out of bed groggily. She then remember what today was and jumped out of bed, excited and overwhelmed with a the sudden blood rush that ran through her. Today was the Tenkaichi Budoukai. She couldn’t wait.

She jumped off her bed completely and ran over to her closet where she brought out a gii she had won in a fighting contest a few months back. She put it on over her boxers and undershirt, and opened her door quickly. She ran through it and ran down the stares and flew into the kitchen.

“Calm down Kakeru-chan… the Tachi Bokuden doesn’t start for a few more hours.”

“Oto-sama…don’t call me Kakeru-chan… I hate being call that.”

“Calm down squirt. What’s the rush?”

“I need to eat and get ready. Kami-sama! Do you know who’s going to be there, onii-sama?”

     “Yeah.”

“I mean. I actually get to see them all in person. And I still have to get the others. Kouji and Hiro. They wanted to go too. I’ll have to run by their houses before I get there…oh, I have so much to do.”

“Calm down Kayuto-kun…” Kakeru, who also liked to be referred to as Kayuto-kun, finally sat down and calmed herself enough to make a mental list of the things she had to do before she left.

Ever since she was a young child, she had an obsession with fighting, and being in fights. She’d pick a fight with her friends at school while no one was paying attention, just for amusement. When she was just a small girl, her father had taken them to Tenkaichi Budoukai match for a family trip, and he found that was a mistake.

Kakeru soon after, learned to talk, and walk, and her first words where fight, blood, ow, and so on. When she finally learned to walk on her own, she would try to kick everything she could. Now that she was old enough, she trained herself hard everyday, and every chance she got, she would become stronger.

The town she lived in disapproved of her fighting ability, and told her it was a complete waist of time. That Chikyuu already had fighters on it that could handle the dangers of the universe, but she refused to hear it. She blocked them all out and went to the Capsule Corp. Training sessions held by some of the owners of Capsule Corp., and although she had never personally met them, she knew Vegita and a few other fighters lived there. And they would all be at the tournament today. So she had to be perfect.

She scarfed down some cereal-a few bowls-some bacon, milk and orange juice, another bowl of cereal, and then rushed back upstairs…

She ran into the bathroom and took a shower. She washed her hair and tried not to fall over from the hyper rush she had gotten after eating so much cereal, and putting so much sugar on them.

“That girl’s got a sugar buzz like no body’s business.” Her mother said as she washed the dishes.

“Lets see if it last any longer than usual.” Her brother, Himeko Yakuto, added as he finished his first bowl of cereal.

Kakeru finally reemerged from the bathroom and ran back to her room. She grabbed a few things and checked over her room.

A few of the items she gathered, where a key she had found one day when se had gotten lost on the way home from school on the first day. She had picked it up and had felt some strange force from it, that almost pulled her toward it. She couldn’t explain it, but she wore it wherever she went. She also grabbed her little brown leather bag and a pocket knife, just in case, putting that inside, she headed over to her dresser and grabbed an extra change of clothes. There was one thing she neglected to mention to her parents. She was going to the Tenkaichi Budoukai, yes, but she did not tell them she had entered it as well.

That was why she was so frantic, she was extremely exited. She had trained so hard for this day, and every fiber in her body was afraid that something was going to prevent her from competing.

She shook her head and cursed herself for thinking of such things. That was not going to happen! She knew she would fight, and she would win. She simply smiled and brushed her hair. “I need a haircut.” She said. Grabbing her shoulder length black hair, and taking out her pcket knife. She watched her self in the mirror, bringing a garbage can, she cut her hair to about neck length, keeping just a little bit, so she wasn’t entirely mistaken for a boy, and put the knife back in her bag.

She grabbed a brush, and some money, and a few little items she might need. She then went into the bathroom and grabbed a bottle of shampoo, she would probably need. She never knew what kind of shampoo they might have there, and she didn’t prefer to use anything other than the cheap American kind that smelled really great!

She rushed downstairs and put her backpack on.

“I’m gonna mow the lawn before I go! Bye! Sayonara ja ne!” She called running out the front door without another word. She was soon mowing the lawn and still thinking of the events that might occur during the day. She was too exited, she felt like a child. She felt exactly as she had when she was so young, and she could feel her face getting red with frustration.

     “A. Ohayo imoto-san. O genki desu ka?”

“Oro?! Hai, hai. Genki desu. Anata?”

     “Moshi, moshi.”

     “Ano, Kayuto-san…”

“Ne?” Kayuto looked at Kakeru as she mowed the lawn, she stopped and  turned the mower off.

“Nani-Nani yo… Tenkaichi Budoukai nan ‘da?” Kakeru’s sentence was scrambled, and didn’t make much sense. She was nervous.

“It’ll be fine. You’ll have fun. And don’t worry about chichi to haha…I’ll take care of it.”

“Ah.” Kakeru finished mowing and laid her arms on the handle bar of the mower, resting her head on it. “You think…you think I’ll meet Bejita ouji-sama?”

“I’m sure you will. To Son Gokou, too.”

     “Sugoi! I can’t wait!!”

“I can tell.” Yakuto regarded his sister with a look of admiration and pride. “You’ll do just fine.”

     “Domo arigato Yaku-san…” Kakeru smiled.”

“You better be off…and get the others.”

“Hai!” Kakeru smiled. She ran up to Yakuto and hugged him. “I should be back soon. Sayonara ja ne!”

Kakeru ran off and down the dirt road through a forest that led to the next town over.

She jumped over a few rocks and got to the other side, then the next thing she knew, she was on her butt in the water.

She growled as she looked up. “Anta!” She yelled standing up and growling. “Baka…” She said under her breathe as she stared at one of the most annoying boys you’d ever meet, Mugakuto, is what she called him, which literally meant ignorant. His name was actually Kayusato. “Nan desu ka? What do you want, now?”

“Listen, don’t call me that.” Kayusato started to laugh at Kakeru. “Kakeru-chan.” She growled at him again.

“Don’t call me ‘Kakeru-chan’ and I won’t call you ‘Mugakuto’…” She glared at him. “OI!”

     “Oro?!”

“I have to go! I’ll be late!”

     “For what?”

“Tenkaichi Budoukai! I’ll be late. I have to get Kouji and Hiro! We’re all supposed to be there soon!” Kakeru took off much Kayusato stopped her bye grabbing her arm.

     “N-nani dayo?”

“Mind if I come?” He asked grinning.

“Whatever.” She stood and looked down the path she was going to head down, then looked back at Kayusato. “Hm…”

“Nan desu ka?” he asked looking at her confused.

     “How much do you weigh??”

     “Um…156…”

“Ok, shouldn’t be a problem then.” Kakeru walked up to Kayusato and picked him up, putting him on her back, then jumping into a tree near them. “Hold on tight.” She then jumped off of it into the air and flew toward the Tenkaichi Budoukai Stadium.

     “This still freaks me out.”

“Whatever.” Kakeru rolled her eyes and continued to fly toward her destination.

On the way, she stopped by a few places and got some food, and picked up her friends, Hiro and Kouji. They all flew to the stadium together, talking about how fun this was going to be. Kayusato wasn’t interested in the fight, just watching Kakeru and the others make fools of themselves.

     “We’re here, finally! Sugoi!”

     “Calm down Kayuto-kun.”

“K.” Kakeru smiled and looked around, exited. She saw all kinds of people. Different colored skin, sized, ages, and countries. It was so strange to be around sop many people at once; her town was always so small. Even during tourist season.

“So, where too first?” Kayusato asked, looking around, about as amazed a Kakeru.

“To sign in.” Hiro said. They all shook their heads and headed over to two men in orange fuku, sitting at a small, wooden table.

“I didn’t think many people fought in these things any more.” Kakeru said.

     “Me either.” Kouji agreed.

“Excuse me.” Kakeru said, calming down.

“Yes. How can I help you?” Asked a short, fat man in an orange fuku, sitting behind the table.

“Is this where you sign in for the tournament?”

     “Hai.”

“Sugoi!” Kakeru grabbed a pen and signed her name on the bored.

“Oh.” The other man in the orange fuku.

“Nani?” Kakeru asked looking up at the man. He peered over his glasses and looked at the chart in front of him.

“I didn’t know you would be entering. The name was male, so I assumed you would be a guy. I am sorry for the inconvenience, but the women’s locker room has been closed down, do to a slight problem. I hope you don’t mind if you use the men’s locker…for the mean time?

“Mmmm.” Kakeru frowned. “Not..not really. But…” She looked back at Kouji and Hiro.

“Well, who else is going to fight with you?”

“Kouji, and Hiro.” Kakeru pointed to a tall boy, a foot or so taller than herself, with short messy brown hair and blue eyes(No, not Heero Yuy), and beside him and boy a few inches shorted with short black hair and black eyes.

“And him?” The man pointed to Kayusato just grinned. He had short black hair died slightly blonde, and his black eyes shined in the sunlight evilly.

“He’s just a spectator. Trash if you ask me.” Kayusato came up behind a smiling Kakeru. She just put her hands on her hips and smiled evilly, closing her eyes.

“I dare you to say that to my face.”

“Well, I’ll tell you what. Just for the inconvenience, I’ll make sure a section, as well as the rest of the locker room, is dedicated for you four and you four only.”

“Fine by me.” Kouji commented. Hiro merely shrugged, whatever. Kakeru’s coky smile was erased at come and a look of fear crossed her face.

“I’m sorry. But I thought you just said four. There only three of s fighting.”

“Yes, well, I thought to make up for the trouble, that I would allow your friend here to join you all in the sap and hot springs reserved for competitors only.” The shor4t fat man spoke.

“I hope you enjoy your stay here.”

     “Why me?”

“Hey C’mon up there!” An angry voice shouted. They all looked behind them to see three men, and a young women standing with a small child next to her, in back of them. Kakeru’s eyes widened even more, if at all possible.

     “You-You’re…”

“Are you ok miss? You look like you’ve seen a ghost. One man asked. He was tall with weird spiky hair, and was wearing the same orange gii as herself. “Hey, you have our symbol…”

“Yea dad. But I’ve never seen her before.” One of the other men said. He was about as tall as there first, but his hair was much shorter. He looked down at Kakeru and a bit confused. She was short, no more taller than maybe 5’6 or so, but was still shorter than the three men. The last man merely glared at her and crossed his arms over his muscular chest. He was the one that had shouted.

“You-You’re Goku…G-Goku-san…” She said finally, getting her act together. She was still slightly surprised to see them, even though she already new that they where going to be here. She looked at everyone of them with admiration. She respected them all deeply, but especially Vegita.
