I know this is a little late for christmas but I just subscribed to
this group. I wrote this a few weeks ago please tell we what you
think.
 

His and Hers Reason to be Merry
 

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
let your heart be free
from now on your troubles will be out of sight

Wufei was sitting watching all the Christmas festivities, on a park
bench. It was Christmas Eve and lightly snowing on colony L 2.

It sounded so corny but Wufei really did want to be merry and bright
even if he didn't celebrate Christmas. He was lonely, though he would
not admit it to anyone. He wanted to be happy just like everyone else
for a change.
He had friend that was not it he wanted female companionship. He
wasn't guilty about it though he knew that where ever Nataku was she
would not want him to be lonely and regretful for the rest of his
life. Those ghosts he had let die many years ago.

"Sally."

God that women was always sneaking into his mind. He loved her. He
had had a hard time realizing it but it was true. That day an about 2
months ago..................

Remembering..........

"Onna what have you done now?!" screamed Wufei at his completely
rearranged locker.

"God Wufei I only cleaned it up a bit, when you had me stick that
report in there yesterday I couldn't even close the door. Who knew
that Wufei the all mighty warrior was such a pig," mocked Sally.

"Why can't women just leave things alone?"

"We can but it's more fun not to."She coed closing her locker and
laughing.

"Don't ever touch my things again women or I will............."

Sally silenced him with a kiss. Wufei was so shocked that he didn't
say another word.

"I thought that would shut you up,"she giggled."I'll see you tomorrow
wufei."

That's how it had begun, he had thought of her completely differently
after that. Though he knew she was only teasing, that did not change
the fact that he had enjoyed the kiss. After that he found himself
watching her when he was off duty, or on brakes. Noticing the
beautiful sound of her laughter and the right before she smiled her
nose wrickled,everytime.
And only now did he realize how much he needed her when he was so
desperately lonely.

"Gods help me," he said exasperated. He fumed walking home.

Thinking how weak he was to be so distracted and cowardly to not
voice his feelings to her. He walked not home but to headquarters,
without even meaning to or realizing he had.

Finally he stopped and realized where he was. "Already here might as
well pick up those reports I have to write, nothing better to do."

When he got to his office he just could not stop his mind from
contradicting it's self. It was giving him a headache. So he decided
to sit and what for his mind to clear. And his eyes trailed to his
phone. Watching it absently for a while he finally realized the
message light was blinking, he had forgot to check them before he
left a few days ago.

Pushing the button and listened:

"Message from December 22nd 2:20 PM:"

"Hey wufei, [said Sally's cheery voice) I was wondering if you would
like to come to Duo's party with me. He didn't ask you himself
because he caught me first. It's at 8:00 on Christmas Eve at his
place if you have other plans then just call, if not then I'll see
you at say 7:30 my place? I would meet you at yours for convenience
but me cars in the shop and I'm running around all day and well, I
hope you don't mind. Hope to see you then. Bye!"

"End message"

 
 
 
"Oh no, dame me for not answering the stupid machine, it's
already..........?"He looked at the clock."Shit 8:30."

Erasing the message and quickly grabbing his spare keys so he
wouldn't have to run up to his apartment, he ran out of his office
and ran all the way home. Wondering if she would be mad at him.
 

Meanwhile..................

Sally sat crying, why would I?, how could I?, love such a man? He
doesn't even like me. If he did he wouldn't be an hour and 15 minutes
late. He's never late.

"He's not coming, face up to it Sal Wufei never even liked you much
less loves you. Why did you have to kiss him like a love sick pup?
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid women, you are
wea..ee....kkkaa.....chehch.....kkkk."She cried to herself in self
pity.

After running the short 3 miles to his apartment he had almost flown
the next 5 to Sally's in his car. He was finally there, and by some
miracle he was not pulled over for driving 90 miles an hour in a 45
zone. But he had finally got there and was feeling more and more
guilty by the second as he reached the 2nd floor where Sally lived
alone in a studio apartment.

Reaching her door he stopped dead not knowing what to do, knock and
apologize (God he felt like an ass), "no other chooses are there
Wufei?" He thought to himself. And while standing there for a moment
he heard a soft sobbing coming from inside the door.

Who was crying? Was she, why would she cry? He had never heard her
cry, not once in all the years now that they have been partners. Was
she crying because .............,no?

He knocked very hard, not meaning to. And then lightly.
 
 
 

All of a sudden a loud almost crashing sound came from the front
door, and she toppled over in her place. Who the hell would be
knock..................no he wouldn't have the gall to show up an
hour and a half late.

She rased herself off the floor and not thinking ran, almost falling,
to the door and through it open.
 
 
 

"Who the hell is it!!!!!"she screamed before even looking at the
person in front of her.

Oh God it is him, dame him for seeing me like this.

"And why are you here?"
 

God she looked a mess, her eyes all puffy and her hands shacking as
she clenched them. And when she yelled at him he realized why she had
been crying. Him.

"Sally, I'm sorry. I didn......"

"Don't even go there Wufei," she snapped.
"Just go (waving her hand in persuasion), GO! I don't want to deal
with you right now. The fucking gall you have in showing up this
late." Starting to cry despite how hard she tried not to.

"I...I...I..can't and won't deal with you right now, I'm warning you
GO NOW!!!!!!!" And tried to slam the door in his face, but he stopped
it and stepped inside closing it soundlessly.

"GET OUT NOW WUFEI!!!!!"she screamed.

He turned and said lightly, "No".

And she turned and ran to her only place to hid, her room. But he was
right behind her and before she could close and lock the door he
grabbed her and pushed into the room.

"Let me go,"she said weakly starting to cry again.

And he starred at her.

"STOP IT, stop mocking me!"

"Why are you crying?"he asked

"none......(sniff)......of your business."

He pulled her closer and whispered, "I'm sorry."

She looked up, shocked and horrified, at what he had said. "Why are
you sorry Wufei, because you made me cry ?(dame her for her mouth,
she cursed herself), Or because of guilt?"she snapped.

"No, I'm sorry I did not check my messages."

"What? That's why your late, God how stupid can girl get."

"Your not stupid Sally, but I'm not sorry that this happened."

She tore away from him." Mr. Cocky himself, hah! Well, you have
finally proved it I am a weak sniffling women like you said. You have
proved your point now leave Wufei. Leave......."

He stepped toward her again, and with much strength pulled her
struggling form to himand rased her chin with one hand and rapped his
other around her waist pulling her to him like a steel bar.
"You are not weak, and I am sorry that I ever said that. I love you.
That is why I'm not sorry this happened, because if I'm right you
love me to, and that is the reason you are crying. Wipping another
tear away with his thumb.

".........................."

And he lowered his head and kissed her. God its feels god, he thought.

"Umm", was her only response.

Pulling away he again starred into her eyes. "Do you love me Sally Po"

"Yes, gods yes," rasing her head again and kissing him.

They continued to kiss, forgetting about the party. They stayed
together that night, and made love, sleeping in each others arms.
