1. The Democratic Party has played a vital role in the history and politics of the US. From 1828 through  1988, 
DP won 18 of the 41 presidential elections. They dominated the US politics from 1828 through   1856, winning 6 of 
the 8 presidential elections. 

  The politicies of the DP, like those of other parties, have changed with the flow of history. Until Woodrow Wilson 
became President in 1913, the DP generally approved a strict interpretation of the US Constitution and favored 
  a limitation on government powers. As President, Wilson expaned the role of government and mobilized the 
  nation to help defeat Germany in WW I(1914 - 1918). 

  Franklin D. Roosevelt extende the government's powers to fight Germany and Japan. 

2. The Republic Party has greatly influenced the nation's history and politics. It won 14 of the 18 presi- 
   dential elections from 1860, when Abraham Lincoln was elected, to 1932. From 1932 through 1988, it won 
  7 of  17 presidential elections. 

  At first, RP candidates got most of their support from people who opposed slavery. To gain wider support, 
  the party passed land legistration that appealed to farmers. 

  During the 1920's, the RP became known as the "party of prosperity". The RP is often called the 
  G.O.P, which stands for Grand Old Party, as nickname Republicans gave their party in the 1880's. 

  My last boss ( Dave from Missouri MO) call the RP - Good Old Men. (It means Good(of cause, RICH, 
  but, DP are RICH, too. Right? Yes) 

3. The future is on the shoulder of the US president 
   Bush is the US president.
