Good-bye Luke.

Today is another day when I wish I had never gotten involved with rescue. I
just had to have a beautiful boy put to death because he had been mistreated
so badly all of his life he couldn't trust anyone. A frantic phone call late
yesterday afternoon and a surrender started the whole thing. He was taken
from his parents at 3 weeks. After his cute puppy stage wore off and the
family got tired of him he was put in a kennel and that is where he stayed
for 1 1/2 yrs. He hated people and other dogs and when we put him in another
kennel last night for safekeeping he started shaking and couldn't stop.
After a lot of soul searching I had to make the only decision that was
available. Could I take the risk of him attacking someone or their pet?? He
is gone to a better place and one day at the bridge I will see him again and
try to make up for the people in his life who couldn't be bothered to give
him the love and attention he needed. Good-bye Luke.
