Jagdtiger
Jadgtiger's development started in February of 1943 and on October 20th a wooden mock up was shown to Adolf Hitler. Jagdtiger was first named Jagdpanzer VI and recieved the number of Sdkfz 186. Production was to start in December of 1943 along with Jagdpanther but overall war situation and shortages delayed the production until July of 1944. Production was very slow  because Panther Ausf G had priority. In 1945 Jagdtiger recieved priority but the situation didn't allow a full scale production.
Jagdtiger was based on TigerII's chassis and was armed with 128mm Pak44 L/55 gun (Taken from Maus) . First 1 and later 2 , Mg34 were added  for defence against infantry and airplanes.  Jagdtigers were operated by crew od six.
Jagdtigers were mounted on 2 different tyes of running gears, Porsche's and Henschel's.  Henschel's running gear was slighty larger than Porsche's.
Jgdtiger suffered the same problems of TigerII because of its weight and high fuel consumption (5Lit per Km of Road) that made it extremely slow. Jagdtiger's breakdown problem was never solved and many of them were blown up by their crew to prevent being captured by the enemy.
From July1944 until April 1945 only 85 Jagdtigers were produced out of 150 ordered. They were produced by Nibelungenwerke at St. Valentine ( Austria). Hitler also wanted to rebuilt some Jagdtigers as flamethrowers but his wish was not fulfilled.
The number of Jagdtigers produced were equipped into 2 companies, Schwere Panzerjeager Abteilung 653 & 512.
Jadgtiger was the most powerful tank destroyer ever built. It could destroy any tank and could could penetrate 148mm of armor shield at range of 2000m.
