Junkers 87 ( Stuka )
	Stuka or Sturzkamfflugzeug was th general terminology for dive bombers but the Ju 87 , while not being the first or the best dive-bomber in the world , was definately the most famous. Ju 87 was equipped with  two very accurate 7.92mm MG17 or 15. Despite its massive fire power it was very vulnerable to enemy fighters and because of this , its use required total air superiority which Germany had during the first half of the war. Although it was very vulnerable, its effectivenesss against tanks , bridges, fortifications , ships or just scaring enemy forces was undoubted. After the WWI it was quickly noticed that droping bombs while the plane is moving horizantally has a very little chance of hitting almost any target, even as easy as a bridge.  The dive-bomber concept appeared because of the need to increase the accuracy of bombing. Bombing while the plane was diving , increased the chance of hitting a target by 2 or 3 times. Many countries started work on designing dive-bombers and produced poweful dive-bombers, but the Germans were the first who decided to use them in large numbers.  the Germans also developed tactics for this type o aircraft to increase its effeciency. The first dive-bomber used in actual combat in large numbers was the Ju87.
			the Junkers designed a reliable aircraft capable of bombing target with amazing accuracy . The first production of Ju87, was called the A series. 3 units  served with legion Condor during the Spanish Civil war and the lessons learned from combat were used to improve the aircrafts performance which let to the production of Ju87B. 5 units served with legion Condor while the others were used for training purposes. After the spanish civil war several more units were manufactured in many different varians like Ju87B Tropisch ( Tropical, Used in Afrika Korpse.) ju87b Was  extensivly used during the polish campain and the invasion of france(fall Gelb).during the battle of britain they revealed their seer vulnerabilities. ju87B was followed by ju87C and D.the C variant was developed for use on planned air craft carrier. ju87G was the most successful version and was designed as an antitank aircraft and soon recieved nick names such as cannon bird and tank buster . the Ju87 was even equipped with special sirens mounted on the landing gear fairings .as the plane was diving the sirens let out blood curdling wail . that would make the enemy panick .the Ju87 exceeding expectations provided a five to seven times increase in acuracy over traditional bombers and was widely regarded to be the most efficient air support for advancing german troops .
		by the end of the war the ju 87 stuka was begining to be replaced by more advanced planes as it has become obsolete and easy pray for enemy fighters and antiaircraft defences.
