Discussion: 

·         Apex Environmental, Inc. (The HOA had all SWF inspected on Dec.7.)

The inspection revealed that SWF #1 & #2 are not in proper working order.

1.       Regular mowing needs to take place

2.       All woody vegetation in and around area removed

3.       All areas reseeded, including access ways

4.       Interior areas of ponds need to cleared of sediment and vegetation, and filter medias need to be removed and restored.

                Inspection for SWB #3 revealed

1.       Incomplete construction—erosion, woody growth, no topsoil/seed and pond is holding water

2.       Unidentified iron pipe entering pond

3.        Stormwater outflow into wetland area filled with sediment. Interior inspection revealed improper construction.

CONCLUSION- HOA to receive estimates for repair of #1 & #2 SWF’s

 

·         County /SWMF Update:

Letter stating the intent of the county to modify and repair the Stormwater Management Facilities was received on Jan 8th. The mod/repairs will consist of converting ‘Logan Pond’ to its intended final configuration, which will allow the pond to drain and function as a “dry pond”.  In addition, the DPW will provide an as-built drawing documenting the changes made.

The DPW also stated that they would not perform any work or repairs to SWF #1 & #2. However, the BOD’s have decided to approach the county with a request to repair the other SWF’s to their intended configurations. The request will be based on the fact that there are still no as-built drawings for SWF #1; additionally, since the bonds were released in error (confirmed by the DPW) there is no proof that the SWF’s were in accordance with any standards.

 

·         Water Updates:

The HOA is waiting for contact from Mountain Hill Water Co. regarding estimate for water infrastructure and usage. It appears that the Town of North East is working with MH WaterCo.and may lower cost to WW for installation. Looking for information regarding Grant $$ to help WW.

·         Speeding in community—Drivers watch kids…BUT Parents need to keep kids from playing in the street.

                        Service includes clearing of common-area sidewalks. Clearing will start at 3 inches of accumulation of snowfall and continue as needed.
