In loving memory of my Lil' Beany Weiny aka: Weiny Hotdog - Wein Wein & Wing Ding |
March 1999 - October 6, 2005 April 1999-I went with my neighbor to look at some 4 week old puppies that my nephews had to give away. I never had any intentions of bringing home a puppy, but when I got there and sat on the porch waiting for my neighbor to pick her 2 of them..the runt of the litter walked up under the porch at my feet and out again - looked up at me with big ole pitiful eyes and I just fell in love with him..when I picked him up he wasn't even a handful..he was the size of a small beany baby.. that's how he got his name.. Beany Weiny |
Weiny in his favorite sleeping spot on the front porch..don't know how his short legs got him up that high, but he looks so comfy.. |
The flash woke him up, but he still didn't move a muscle.. |
Weiny right before hurricane Katrina hit he looks worried..one of the last pictures taken of him..August 29, 2005 |
Weiny doing his job as usual... supervising the pig wash.. |
My lil' Wein Wein..short & stocky, but packed with muscle |
Weiny right before hurricane Katrina...doing his job...surveying the yard... |
Breaks my heart not to hear his bark everytime someone drives down the driveway..he always let me know someone was outside.. or when I step out into the yard and he's not at my feet, wagging his little tail until I give him a scratch.. or nibbling at my shoes to get my attention.. or when it thunders & he's not rushing in the front door to hide under the coffee table.. or when I look out across the pasture expecting to see that short little red body running under the fence.. (somehow he thought we couldn't see where he went under if he moved fast enough)..he was too funny..too sweet & too loveable.. I miss ya Weiny.. |
