The Pacers have been there or there abouts all season and have continued surprisingly well, despite trading All Star and All NBA First Teamer, Jermaine O'Neal. O'Neal averaged a double double while at the Pacers, and Fortson has taken, keeping up the double double at the power forward position. Brad Miller is also averaging a double double from the center spot. Ron Artest is in double figures for scoring and is one of the league's leading stealers, whilst Jamaal Tinsley has over seven assists per game. Add to that the shooting guard skills of the explosive Jason Richardson and Reggie Miller and Jeff Foster coming off the bench, and you can see why the Pacers are doing so well. With expiring contracts and not a huge amount of cap space, the Pacers will be hoping to do the business this year.
So they don't have MJ, but the Wizards do have what is fast becoming one of the WWBL's most feared backcourts. The switch of Lamond Murray to PG has worked wonders and he averages a team high 22PPG. Jerry Stackhouse is the SG and averages another 16PPG, with both having 4APG to their name. Lamar Odom has come in for Jordan and filled the SF position well averaging 15PPG. Etan Thomas and Brandon Haywood are the weak links, combining to form a poor frontcourt. Both will need to improve if the Wizards are to succeed, or they Whizz could always rely on a Ewing/Oakley front court, now wouldn't that have been great eight years ago. The backcourt bench is strong, with Alvin Williams, Eric Piatkowski and Christian Laettner, all providing useful numbers off the bench but it is the Murray/Stackhouse/Odom trio that the team heavily relies on.
