JOHN CENA def. SHO FUNAKI:
Cena took to the mic and told the fans that he was the hottest thing going on Saturday night and even likening himself to the Genius, Lanny Poffo, before telling Funaki that maybe the two of them should take the night off and head out and party! Cena tried to offer a handshake but Funaki ducked the clothesline that followed and took over on the rookie until he got leveled by a vile clothesline from Cena!

Cena stomped away on Funaki on the mat before ducking a crossbody attempt by the former Kaientai member, allowing Cena to get back into the driver's seat and paste Funaki to the mat with a stalling vertical suplex. Cena then applied a reverse chinlock on the mat which Funaki broke with a jawbreaker, enabling Funaki to bound off of the ropes and deliver a running bulldog.

Funaki caught Cena coming into the corner with a pair of boots to the face, setting up a jumping tornado DDT from the second rope. Funaki laced into Cena with a pair of right hands on the canvas but moments later as Funaki went for a pinning combination, Cena countered by hoisting SmackDown!'s number one announcer up onto his shoulder, setting him up for the F-U and picking up the win!

Orlando Jordan was shown warming up for his match in the back.

JVC WWE REWIND: The U.S. Title Tournament got underway with an excellent match between Chris Benoit and Rhyno, a contest that saw the Rabid Wolverine pick up the win over the man-beast from the mean streets of Detroit, Michigan courtesy of the Crippler CrossFace!

A-TRAIN def. ORLANDO JORDAN:
A-Train took to the ring in a bad mood, hurling chairs into the squared circle and throwing the stairs on the arena floor and things didn't get any better as Orlando clamped on an armwringer but he walked into a headbutt by the 350-pounder out of the corner. Orlando flipped through a backdrop and stung A-Train with a pair of forearms and staggering him with a clothesline but after Jordan ducked a bicycle kick, he ran right into a massive shoulderblock.

A-Train countinued to maul Jordan in the corner, bottling him in with a monstrous body avalanche before clamping on a huge bearhug but Jordan broke free with an earclap before biting A-Train in the face. A-Train charged Jordan in the corner but Jordan brought the boots up into A-Train's face before scoring with a drop toehold, sending A-Train into the second turnbuckle face-first.

Jordan countered the DeRailer with a dropkick before going upstairs and nearly scoring the pinfall following a crossbody from the top rope. However, A-Train caught up to the youngster and finally put away the newcomer with the Train Wreck. A-Train then hovered over Orlando's prone form, adding a little bit of insult to injury by talking some smack to the rookie.

Stephanie had asked Zach Gowen to swing by her office this past Thursday night on SmackDown! but the youngster was surprised to see none other that Sable waiting for him in Steph's office. Sable invited Zach in and she proceeded to seduce him, even mounting him on Stephanie's desk and telling Zach to say her name before abruptly hopping off and telling Zach that there was no way that he could satisfy her! Vince then came in and bellowed at Zach, chasing him off before celebrating Zach's embarrassment with Sable with a little kiss. The pair continued to mock Zach after he left but Stephanie came in and broke up the party, sending Sable out of the office before unleashing a verbal tirade on Vince, saying that she had always done everything that she could to please Vince. Stephanie was disgusted that she had turned out to be so much like her father and she told Vince that maybe Zach was the one thing that could her save herself and that Vince could do whatever he wanted to her, fire her or whatever, but he was in danger of having the one person who ever cared about him, Stephanie herself, just not care anymore!

The Ultimo Dragon will make his WWE debut next week on SmackDown!, coming to us from Madison Square Garden!

This week on SmackDown!, The Undertaker will team up with the APA to take on the FBI plus Eddie and Tajiri will take on Sean O'Haire and Rowdy Roddy Piper with the WWE Tag Titles up for grabs!

Matt Hardy was in the back talking to the Bashams, seeing if he could get them to teach Shannon and Crash a lesson and although Danny and Doug were more than willing to rough Shannon and Crash up a little bit, Linda Miles... err, Shaniqua... swung by and told her charges that they weren't to speak without permission! Lind turned her attention to Matt, telling him that she and her team would be more than happy give Shannon and Crash a little education before offering her services to Matt, asking if he wanted to be taken to the next level. Matt thanked her, but he said he was fine on his own because.... why else... he has MATTITUDE!

STACKER 2 WWE REWIND: The APA made their return to SmackDown! this past week as they helped The Undertaker dispose of the Full-Blooded Italians!

MATT HARDY Version 1 def. PAUL LONDON:
This week's MattFact revealed that Matt has wrestled on four different continents and the sensai of Mattitude backed his adversary into the corner before taking Wilkins to the mat with a deep armdrag. Wilkins rolled through an armbar and scored a pair of nearfalls but as Matt took a moment for a reprieve, he caught London sleeping with a hard right hand before bottling London in the corner with a stiff back elbow and another right hand.

Matt caught London's boot and after flipping the newcomer over, Version 1 took London to the canvas with the Side Effect then after dropping all of his weight across London's back as he straddled the ropes, Matt delivered a back elbow to set up a legdrop. Matt then suspended London in the air by his neck before setting up a neckbreaker with an airplane spin then with London trapped in a surfboard, Matt stretched London out with a boot to the small of the back while applying the hold.

London broke free with a mule kick then a spinning heel kick set up a springboard crossbody then a textbook dropkick set up an outside-in springboard moonsault. Matt tried to throw London over the top rope to the floor but Paul skinned the cat and hung Matt out to dry across the top rope. London went for the Shooting Star Press but Matt avoided the contact before catching a stunned London with a Teist of Fate. An incensed Matt then scooped London up and plastered him to the mat with another Twist before rolling into the cover and picking up the hard-fought win over the newcomer!

Brock Lesnar and The Big Show had to tend to some unfinished business last week on SmackDown! as their WWE Title Match the week before was cut a little short after the ring collapsed following a breathtaking 800-pound superplex! Show took the fight to the champion and nearly scored with the same superplex that brough last week's encounter to an end but Brock stopped Show in his tracks with a low blow and a massive German suplex set Show up for the F-5! The wrestlers formerly known as Team Angle came to Show's aid and the WWE Champion warded off Haas and Benjamin but the diversion allowed Show the opportunity to recover and grab Brock by the throat as he turned around before scoring with a ShowStopper that imprinted Lesnar into the canvas. Kurt Angle and Mr. America both tried to come to Lesnar's rescue but Show thanked both men for their efforts with a pair of ShowStoppers before stopping to survey the carnage he had left as SmackDown! came to a close!

Cat and Josh announced that this week on SmackDown!, Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle and Mr. America will team to take on Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas and The Big Show in a six-man tag team match!

THE BASHAM BROTHERS (w/Tough Enough II Champion SHANIQUA) def. CRASH & The Original MFer SHANNON MOORE:
Crash looked to convey the teachings of Mattitude to the Bashams but Shaniqua showed what she thought of the book as she took the book from Danny Basham and began tearing pages out of it! Crash and Shannon took the fight to Doug at the onset, teaming up for a drop toehold-legdrop combo and they continued the attack on Danny before the Bashams hooked up for a double belly-to-back suplex, followed up with dual kipups by the Bashams!

Danny tortured Crash's lower back with a hellacious Irish Whip before clubbing away at the Houdini of Hardcore but Shaniqua detained the official as Crash tried for an inside cradle. Doug turned the cradle over and Shannon retaliated by doing likewise then after the official but Shaniqua back on the arena floor, Danny planted Crash with a slam which he followed with a second rope elbow drop.

Doug checked back in and he dropped Crash with a straight right hand followed by a slam but Danny tried for the elbow drop again and he got a mouthful of Crash's boot for his trouble. Shannon got the tag and he tore into the Bashams before getting a nearfall on Danny following his version of Whisper in the Wind. A double dropkick sent the Bashams to the floor but as Shaniqua detained the referee, the Bashams teamed up for a scintillating side-Russian legweep clothesline combo to pick up the win as Velocity came to a close!
