eWrestling is simulated professional wrestling usually run by email. In eWrestling, you create a wrestler complete with personality and attributes used to determine matches and you, then, fight opponents across the world with your keyboard and your computer screen. Usually, you arrange matches with other players, which then are resolved by the Federation Head. Players develop feuds and alliances, arrange special matches, write interviews and/or "promos" called "roleplays".
In eWrestling most of the time, you never determine what your wrestler does inside the ring since that is the job of the Federation Head or staff. Your job as an eWrestler is to develop a wrestler, give him a gimmick, and bring him to life with your trash talking and with your strategy.
eFed's generally fall into one of two categories--booked and simulated.
A booked eFed is one where the Fed Head chooses the winners directly without the use of a simulator. Winners of matches are decided based on the quality of their roleplays, angles and maybe even Fed Head bias.
A simulated (simmed) eFed is one where the results of matches are determined by one of several wrestling simulators on the market.
So how do you get started in an eFed? Just check out some of the millions of individual eFederation's web sites and find the ones that interest you. Then contact those fed heads and see if they have any openings or fill out an application if they have one.
