UNGRATEFUL BASTARDS
by Kitty

School started, I got a speeding ticket, I have cramps and my best friend informs me she's getting married.

All of this in one day. Needless to say by the time I got home I was in a pissy mood. So, I decided to put all this in

the back of my mind and hop on the net to visit my favorite wrestling sites. Looking at the Undertaker always

seems to cheer me up. I'm a mark, what can I say. All was going well when I decided to visit an online news board.

That is when I found it. The article that would send me into a frenzy of hatred for WWF bookers.

Vince Russo is the head booker for the World Wrestling Federation. He writes a monthly column for RAW magazine

called 'Russo Raw.' In the September 1999 issue, he wrote about Rena Mero. If I may be so bold as to summarize, he called

her an ungrateful bitch, which I happen to agree with. He starts by saying that he doesn't understand how Vince McMahon

can not take business personally. Let me quote him.....'don't take business personally. That's what he

(McMahon) always tells me. Well, hell, on paper that sounds great-very logical. But to a stubborn Italian who was born in

West Hempstead, Long Island-IT'S IMPOSSIBLE. Yeah, I've attempted to sell myself on that theory a few times -but I just ain't buyin' it!!!

I do take things personally. Why? Because I'm a human being with feelings!'

This post I saw on the news board had nothing to do with Sable, it involved my favorite dead man, the Undertaker.

It said that WWF bookers (ahem....Vince Russo) were unhappy with his performance at Summerslam. They said he was

too 'slow' and asked him to pick up the pace. EXCUSE ME!!!!!!! As I'm sure you are aware of, Mark Calaway

is in a very bad way lately. He will be taking time off to heal from a myriad of injuries shortly. Now, the guy is close to 7 feet tall

and upwards of 330 pounds....and he's injured. I mean, fuck, I'd be slow too. Anybody would. It also said that they were

upset that Calaway made no attempt to cover up the fact that he bladed in the match against Steve Austin at Fully Loaded '99.

Did anybody see him blade? I sure didn't. I did, however, see Austin stick his hand under the ring and come out with a

handful of 'blood' and then wipe it on his head. But I'm sure nobody said a word to Steve about THAT. God forbid Stevie gets upset.

The article by Russo immediately came to mind. He has worked for the WWF for 5 or 6 years now, so I'm sure

he knows Mr. Calaway fairly well. He said in the article that he was a human being with feelings. I happen to think he's an asshole,

with no compassion for Mark whatsoever. Or anyone else for that matter.

Mark has been in wrestling for over a decade. He has given his all, emotionally and physically, to wrestling.

He gives 110% every time he steps in the ring. He does things that no one else will do. He is entirely  dedicated

and loyal to the WWF. He deserves more respect than anyone else in that company. Respect isn't taken lightly in the

world of pro-wrestling, or given to just anyone. He HAS earned it. He has earned it 5 times over.

The Undertaker has carried the WWF through some pretty tough times. He has remained as a top superstar

for several years. He will put over people that other's won't (I wonder who that could be?) and he does it without bitching.

He doesn't give attitude to other wrestlers. He doesn't give attitude to 'The Suits.' He doesn't complain when given shitty angles.

He just sucks it up and does his job. Russo calling Rena Mero an ingrate....ain't that the pot calling the kettle black?!

He obviously has no sense of gratitude toward Mark. And that's just BULLSHIT! After all Mark has given, he deserves

a little compassion from these assholes. He has, after all, been the reason for a couple of those zeros on their paychecks.
