Intercontinental Champion

	Chris Kanyon defeated Tazz in a one on one match to be granted a title shot against Chris Benoit only one day after Benoit had won a 20 Royal Rumble for the title.

Match starts off with both guys going right after each other. No posing here. Kanyon is able to gain the advantage for a few moments after a low blow, and follows that up with a piledriver. Benoit kicks him in the head when he tries to pick him up. Benoit now keeps Kanyon down with a barage of chops and a snap suplex or two. Kanyon looks like he is in trouble here.Kanyon tries to fight back, but Benoit keeps reversing his punches. Then Benoit goes for the Fisherman Suplex... he gets it in!! Kanyon is able to get his foot on the ropes. Kanyon tries to gain the advantage again with a low blow, but Benoit keeps coming after him. After a big chop, Benoit picks up Kayon in a Military Press!! He then climbs the top rope on connects with a diving headbutt!! Out comes Rikishi!! Rikishi picks up Benoit and puts him in the Rikishi Driver!! He then picks him up again and puts him in a Delayed German Suplex!! Benoit is in trouble! Kanyon then gets The Crippler in a Rack Pancake, and then a Firemen Carry to Pancake. Benoit is being double teamed now, and it looks like his IC Title reign will be a short one. Benoit is able to pull off a few moves on Kanyon, but Rikishi is there each time to put Benoit down again. Just when it looks like Benoit is done for... out comes The Undertaker!! The Undertaker breaks up the pin fall, but he is then thrown outside the ring by Rikishi. Benoit doesn't waste any time though... he sees Kanyon down, so he climbs the top turn buckle and jumps off... diving head butt connects!! Kanyon slowly gets up, but Benoit puts him down again with a chop. Rikishi is in the ring again, and attacks Benoit from behind. Taker gets in the ring, and beats the crap out of Kanyon. Benoit finally gains the advantage on Rikishi after a belly to back suplex, and then a bodyslam!! Benoit then getst Rikishi with the Multiple Greman Suplex!! Rikishi and Taker leave the ring... and The Crippler gets Kanyon with a snap suplex. He keeps Kanyon down with a barrage of chops and elbows, but Kanyon keeps coming back with low blows... but then Benoit reverses a grappled into a German Suplex... 1.. 2.. Kanyon kicks out! Another low blow, followed by a Rack Pancake again. Benoit is the one in trouble now... as Kanyon hits him with a kick that sends him flying outside the ring. Benoit is then dragged back in the ring.... Benoit manages to try an irish whip, but it's reversed by Kanyon!! Kanyon catches Benoit coming off the ropes in the Flatliner!! 1.. 2..3!!
