Guerrilla War in occupied Europe

After the germans occupied a great part of european countries a resistance movement against the invaders was formed. These movements were truly underground armies, which fougth the germans in thousands of small battles and committed sabotage acts. Also the underground movements served as a source of information for the allied intelligence networks. The guerrilla action was coordinated mainly by the british SOE and the communist guerrillas by the Russian high command.
