This is the Standard 1939-1940 pattern Wehrmacht soliders uniform. This type of early uniforms were mostly used from the invasion of Poland in 1939 to the invasion of Russia in 1941. From 1939 to 1940 a new pattern field jacket was taken into production, the only main changes was the replacement of the dark green collar, with a collar that had the same colour as the rest of the tunic. From 1940-41 the field trousers was also modified, with a colour change from stone grey to the grren shade of the field tunic. The German helmet was also undergoing some changes during the spring and summer of 1940. |
