Willingness.  I find that on a daily basis I have to become willing to allow God to remove my defects of character.  Sometimes the willingness is not there.  I still get angry and willful.  In order to be sincere about my sobriety I had to let go of old ideas.

The change is this: where I used to say “No! Never!” I now find myself investigating why I say no and never.  I have become willing to change a little; compromise, agree to disagree, or hear the other side.  I also see where I was wrong and become willing to change my attitude.

Step Six is about sincerity. Step Six is about acceptance.  Step Six is about release.
