"A. A. as such ought never be organized; but we may create service boards or committees directly responsible to those they serve."
In the many A. A. groups I have visited, some were not organized much beyond the Group Conscience. Others were very organized having committees for almost every function of the group.
No one person has a corner on recovery. Our primary purpose is to stay sober. When the day to day management of the group becomes more important than staying sober, we have lost our focus.
A. A. exists to help us to stay sober one day at a time. Buildings, meeting formats, and overhead will always take care of themselves if we allow them to.
All we need is a desire to become and stay sober.
