Winter Weather Cards
FRONT Side
BACK Side
Below are a few selected items that are original creations of mine that I hand out to events that I visit (e.g., school talks, severe weather talks, expos, etc.).  Feel free to download them, print them, and even distrubute them!  They're meant to help you out in times of bad weather...
These were orginially created for an expo I attended in February.  The visitors seems to like them, and truthfully, they are handy.  10 useful, wallet-sized winter facts, statistics, and helpful tips that may just come in handy for you someday.
I also include the back sides of these cards, if case you want them to look professional.  Try printing them front to back with a nice thick paper for the best quality.
WARNING:  The images I uploaded are in HIGH quality so the small print could be read.  Downloading a page on a regular 28.8 or 56.6 modem COULD take a few minutes.  Please be patient while they load...
Severe Weather Handout

Page 3
This is a very useful handout that I distributed to a group that I gave a severe weather talk to on April 18, 2001.  It seemed to keep their attention and has a few interesting facts and tips for the main 5 severe weather scenarioes:  hail, lightning, tornadoes, floods, and winds.  The one picture on Page 3 (showing a contour plot of severe winds) can't be seen after the copy machine got it....Sorry.
More to Come...

Anemometer Handout
FRONT Side
BACK Side
Not an extremely useful handout unless you build the anemometers themselves.  The front page is a little overview of the anemometer, plus a few tips on what to do with it and where to put it.
The back page is quite useful -- it contains a chart that can calculate wind speed by giving it the number of rotations per minute.
Keep in mind that the table is based on typical observations, and calculation may vary greatly.
