The 2003 Trinidad and Tobago Cup "Tomorrow 's Stars Shine Today" Ages Groups -Boys U-15 -Boys and Girls U-17

The organizing Committee of the TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO CUP Soccer Tournament is pleased to announce that the 2003 completion will be held from 12th -19th April 11, 2003.

After an extremely successful tournament last year the organizer have decided to include another boy's age group in this year 's competition, plus a group of girls teams .A total of Sixty -Four Teams will participate this year as compared to the 34 from last year.

We look forward to intense competition once again with last year 's winners SUPER STAR RANGERS eager to defend their Trophy! For those who attended last year's tournament, the level of talent display was undeniable .It is noteworthy that many of the participants from last's years inaugural tournament also represent Trinidad and Tobago in this country's recent attempt to qualify for the u-17 World Cup held in this country in 2001.Come and see tomorrow's stars shine today!

An added feature of the competition this year will be the presentation of a trophy for the group -stage winners of each age group, at each stadium. This added incentive is sure to heat up the competitions a bit more!

The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs has renewed its commitment to the tournament as a partner and has once again given permission for the use of the five stadium (Trinidad and Tobago). They will also supply a trophy for the most outstanding defender and assist with other aspects of the tournament.

The tournament also welcomes back squadra International and Lucozade who both participated in last year's tournament and will return again to sponsor this year 's competition.

The T&T cup is very please to announce the addition of TIDCO as our newest major partner. TIDCO has committed to play a lead role in marketing the competition over the next three years and will also assist with operational and promotional expenses for this year's edition.

The Tournament has been in dialogue with numerous club teams from throughout the world, including professional teams from Brazil, Japan, The United States and Europe. Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances in the Middle East, many team who originally committed to participating in this year's tournament have had to cancel .We remain confident that these teams will be participating in future T&T Cup Tournament should these circumstance Change. The T&T Cup is undoubtedly a platform for the development of T&T's sporting talent .The tournament is a forum for individual athletes and teams to display their ability and get noticed by the numerous coaches and administrators who attend. In addition to providing this invaluable service to the youth of this country, this year the T&T Cup will be donating part of its proceeds to the recently formed 'Marvin Lee Fund".

As was the case last year the winning team from Tobago will be bought to Trinidad for the quarter Final round .The Final games (U-15 and U-17) will be played on Saturday April 19th Starting at 2pm at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Arima. This venue has been chosen due to the overwhelming crowd response received during last year's tournament .The Organizers and Staff of the 2003 T&T Cup look forward to welcoming one and all to another successful tournament showcasing the talent and future of T&T's football where "Tomorrows Star's Shine Today ".
