| PAGANISM What is paganism? To me paganism is about living in harmony with all things on this beautiful planet. Maintaining a harmonic balance between the self and the environment, and always acknowledging that we are all part of the same intricate pattern that weaves our lives. This pattern to me is all that is, ever was and shall be, made up of the same composite atoms as all things. Let me explain: A table is made from the same elements as me I am made of the same elements as this computer All things are made up of the same elements, just arranged in a slightly different order. All life follows the same intricate pattern, following its own natural spiral..in our case the spiral that is dna. This spiral contains two paths, these paths could be seen to relate to the masculine and feminine. Hence, to me the representation of the God and Goddess are intricately bound to us all, forever mainatining a balance, and forever moving onward to new life. Expressing this pattern, this oneness with all, can prove to be quite difficult. How do you explain to someone how it feels to be in love? How it feels to see your baby take her first steps? If you have ever felt those emotions, that is how I feel about life, about nature, about paganism. |
