But , not every person know if the "miracle" only the small part from Einstein's relativity Theory , and how Einstein got his theory. On 14th December 1922 Albert Einstein gave his general lecture in front of Kyoto Imperial University's student about the ideas which become the background of the born of specific & general relativity theory. This is part of his visit to japan for 43 days with his wife , Elsa - The only Einstein visit to Asia. During his visit he must give the lecture to physicians and general public. The Next year his lecturer note has been published by monthly Japanese Magazine, Kaizo, April 2005. {Prof Masahiro Morikawa of Ochanomizu University translated into english in Association of Physicial of Asia Pacific buletin. Like the believes of Morikawa, I agreed that this article deserve to be known by the people. One important matter is the fact that as ordinary human, Einstein ever desperate due to the difficulties of relativity problem. But cause the combination of his diligent, hard work, geniusity, and good relationship with the scientist, and also his luckyness , as the factor that determine Einstein's succeed in produce both of the relativity theory, a deserve matter become the though of scientist in this republic. Not an easy thing to tell completely how I got this Relativity Theory, This because the various complexity which is indirectly motivate the human mind. I also doesn't want to pass detailly the progress of my thought based on my scientific report , but I will simplify pass the essential progress of the thought.
When the first time I got the idea to build the relativity theory is about 17 years ago (1905), I could not tell exactly from where this idea come from, but I am sure that this come from the moving optic material.
The Light spread in sea of ether and Earth move in the same ether, so that why , the movement of Ether must be observed from Earth. I am very curious to prove the ether streamline relative to Earth or in the other words that the movement of Earth in Ether. At that time I absolutely doesn'tdoubt the ether existention and the movement of Ether.
In fact I expecting the possibility observation in the different of the light speed which move same as direction of the Earth movement and the light move contrary (by the helping of mirror's reflection). My idea can be realited by using a pair of termokopel to measure the different of heat or their energy. This idea similar with interfension experiment of Albert Michelson, but at that time I was not familiar with Michelson experiment.
I was introduced by the null result of Michelson experiment when I was still a student and since that time I was very obsessed by my idea. Intuitically I feel that if I receive null result , so it will deliver us to one conclusion that our vision about the Earth which move in Ether was wrong. this is my first step that interacted me to the direction of specific relativity theory. Since that time I was sure that if the Earth move circle the sun so the movement never be detected by light experiment.
In 1895 I read the Hendrik Lorentz report who claim that he can solve the Electrodinamic problem completely through fisrt approaching is a the approaching where the kwadrat (pangkat) 2 or more than ratio between the thing's speed and the light speed is ignored. After that I try to develop the Lorent's argument for the Armand Fizeaue emperiment's result by assumpting that the similarity of electron movement, as has been proved by Lorentz , effective in this coordinat system either in refering the movement thing or at vacuum, Clear showing the invarian character (not change) the light. However , this conclusion against with the Speed composition law which is refered at that time.. Why both of Law against each other ? This Big problem make me think hard. I must spend a full year by useless opprotunity exploration to modify the Lorentz Theory. This Problem seemed too heavy for me.!
One day , in a conversation with friend in Bern help me to solve this big problem . Im visited him in clear day and asked him: " At this time I have been facing with big problem which I think has never been solved. Now I want to share this problem with you.
I spent any discussion with him. Suddenly I got a very importan idea, the next day I said " Thanks so much . I have solved my own problem.
The main idea to solve this problem related to the Time concept. Time can not be defined appriorically as absolut reality. The Time must depend on the Signal speed. This Big problem can be solved by new concept about the time.
By Just 5 weeks I can solve this specific relativity principle after the discovery. I also doesn't have any doubt about the legal of this principle from philosophy side. Also this principle match with Mach Principle, at least not partly if compare with the general relativity succeed. This is my way to build up the Specific Relativity Theory.
The first Step directed to general relativity theory come 2 years later (1907) in different way. I was not too satify by specific relativity Theory because the relativity principle only limited in relative movement with constant speed , but can not be apllied in general movement. In Year 1907 I was requested by Johannes Stark to write the review of any experiment result of specific relativity theory in his annual report, Jahrbuch der radioactivitaet und Electronik. At that time I realise that Specific Relativity theory can be applied to all nature phenomenon except gravity.
So that I find the way to apply this theory to gravity case. But I could not finish it easily. One thing that made me frustated is the fact that event the theory of specific relativity give perfect relation between the languidness and weight (inersia and gravity system) untouch at all . I suspect that this problem is far beyond the of specific relativity theory.
One day I sat in chair at Paten Swiss Office in Bern. A Briliant idea slighted. " Someone who free fall will not know his body weight"
This simple idea give me deeper thought . Wild emotion occur that time drive me to the gravity theory. I back to think " Someone who free fall has the acceleration". I dedicid to expand the realtivity principle by inserting the acceleration. I also expect , by generalise this theory I will also solve the gravity problem. this thing due to the fact that people who free fall not feel his body weight because there is other gravity field that lossing the earth's eart gravity. In other words , every good which is accelerated need new gravity field. However I could not overcome this problem completely. 8 years I spent to create the real realtion. Before it I just got the pieces of the basic theory.
Ernst Mach also claim the Equivalency inter system principle which is accelerated . But clearky this matter not suitable with usual geometric. This thing because if this system is allowed , So Euclidean geometric can not be effective in every system. explaining Physic law without geometric same with expaining a thoght without words . Do , What I have to put as my basic Theory ?
