VOLUNTEERS are crucial for the success of our team. We need your participation and help in several areas, including the Tepee Cafe, team gear sales, timing, set-up and clean-up for meets. This is a great way to meet other swim team parents. You will be able to see your child swim regardless of your assigned job. Please contact Christa Bowles, Volunteer Coordinator, if there is a specific job that you prefer. We have a small team so every family is needed to help at every home meet. For away meets, we are only responsible for providing timers. Also, we are looking for a Pep Rally Coordinator to run the Thursday night pep rallies. If you are interested in helping with these, please contact Tracey Holden.
Welcome to the 2002 season of the Wynnewood Warriors. We are very excited for the upcoming summer swim season and expect to have lots of fun! We hope to use this website to get you the information that you need to know, and to share the highlights of our season. Ryan Horwath is returning as our Head Coach this year. In addition, Sue Naylor will teach and coach our Apache Group (Learn to Race). Practice times can be found by clicking on the practice link below. If you are not sure which practice is right for your child, please check with the coaches.

6/19/02 Join us on Thursday, June 20th for our first pep rally. It's an ice cream social with tube races, a coin toss, and cheer practice. The pep rallies are a great way to meet the other swimmers and families while "psyching-up" the swimmers for the upcoming meet. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check your mailboxes on Friday of every week. Directions to away meets or assignments for home meets will be placed in your folder. This week you will find directions to West Howard in your folder. Every Tuesday after a meet, Coach Ryan will distribute the ribbons and awards from the previous meet at 10am. It takes about 20 minutes to give out the awards. The 10am practice will start after the awards are distributed. Tuesday, June 25th, Coach Ryan will distribute the awards from the West Howard meet. There will not be a pep rally on Thursday, June 27th. Friday, June 28th from 6:00-8:00pm, we will sponsor a Family Pasta Dinner with food from Luigi Petti. Tickets are $8/adult and $5/child. Bring your own drinks and cups. Enclose your money (checks made payable to Wynnewood Rec Center) and the number of people attending in an envelope, and place it in the Thompson or Holden mailboxes NO LATER THAN Wednesday, June 26th. In addition we will be decorating and getting ready for our first home meet of the season against North St. Johns, Saturday June 29th. FUNDRAISING: Look for tickets and information in your mailbox about our "cash payout" fundraiser based on the MD Lottery winning numbers. Remember, someone wins every day! Contact Donna Marino if you have any questions. See you at our first meet against West Howard. GO WARRIORS!
