Submission from Crafter
I'm still not truly sure how or what I could tell you to place on there. A lot of the things I do, they come naturally I guess. There's no defined method. As simply put as I can make it, I picture it, place the energy towards it, and continue on, waiting patiently for the result I desire. In all things this happens. Even with those passing thoughts that I might reconsider. What is made to be in motion, continues in motion, sometimes even when you would wish them to simply stop. C'est la vie .
An avalanche stops when it wants to. Yes, it has its influences that determine its speed and eventually its successful completion of its path traveled. But really, once that thing gets going, you get out of the way, or hopefully get found by rescue teams afterwards.
I'm not religious. Religion really has no place, especially the dogma of Christian religion, in the pursuit of anyone that hopes to live beyond this basic reality. Which in many many ways causes us more damage, and more inner turmoil, than really any pursuit in any other. First lesson I learned, from one of your sacrificial "hedge-wizards"; a crafter of words can and will be a crafter of realities.
Perception is simply influenced by personal ability to take in the situation at hand. What you see doesn't always mean it's what I see. Take any crime committed in front of a large group of people. Every perception is different. The short-sighted, self destructive sadness of all that is that those in power generally filter the perceptions they receive. Classification is a crutch that humanity apparently needed to survive. Why they needed, and still use it, I'm at a loss. Somethings that are felt cannot be explained. Some things that are experienced cannot be given a title. Why it's so ingrained, just like cursing with a god's title to impress the seriousness of it, makes really no sense at all. It's just the learned influence of society as a whole.
As far as Wicca, Druid, pagan or what have you, they all simply find their method towards finding a piece of themselves. To argue the method, or its creators, or the validity of it is tedious. If it works for you, why take it apart, and possibly risk it never working again?
I'm a channeler of power. Sounds silly, doesn't it? About as close as I can come to defining it, and really it's the first time I think I've attempted to explain it to anyone. For those searching for explanation I can only say that deep is deep. Once you're there, does it really matter the depth? A witch will smudge her house, cleaning it top to bottom, and really realizing it or not channel its power into the boundaries of her/his/its home.
Two things I can impart to you that simplify the method most witches pursue. Ready? Got your perception ears on? The energy that comes from us truly is an endless well. It's deep. Deep enough to drive us longer than most creatures on this small planet, but not deep enough to be much more than nothing to the power a supernova has at its disposal. That doesn't mean we are meaningless. Actually most will never tap into it, some will but wont understand how to get back to it, and then there are those that find their own bucket and rope to drop into it whenever they might need to. A lot of practices wrap ritual around it. I understand the method, generally to get the creature performing into the right mind state, and to hopefully prepare the proper protections. I won't explain any of the risks. They would be different for everyone, so how could I?
My aunt, in her fantastic way, found her method, being a Christian, but not reaching to any god for it. At least no god Christians would acknowledge. She sits quietly, feet bare and on the floor, and pictures drawing it from the earth itself. So really, isn't she Wiccan? The Chinese, and really all of Asia in one form or another, call it chi.
Miracles of self made reality. We all do it. Whether we can admit it, label it, or repeat it at will. I firmly believe that your wonderful "haegtessa" in all its forms hasn't perhaps passed between two defined realities, but simply knows how to call upon something that really is in all of us. Taken in the wrong context that might sound elitist, but it's not. We all carry the power of imagination, the drive to make reality around us, sometimes even in the middle of a pocket of chaos, which really is generally human emotion.
So if in that regard we can make reality, at least our own, why couldn't we communicate or cross over to others? A Discover Magazine a few years ago had the hypothesis that this reality is simply the end result of a collision of two others. If so, how close are they? Can you find a door? Can you make one? Will you be safe if you did? These things everyone has to consider.
A piece of my father that he never knew would apply in this sort of situation, even with the quotes! "You can do whatever you want, whenever you want, as long as it doesn't effect anyone else." In all things this is true. You may not see the end result of the damage, but generally you won't see the end results of your aid, either. It's better to know that you have put forth the energy of self to make your reality hopefully a better one, and leave it at that.
The most important trait of anyone that pursues the obscure is patience.
