Rear Deflector
Back to Home Index
Remember..
this deflector is the Canadian version.. slight differences to the install ( the biggest difference is we do not get a template to  work by )
The Canadian Version, requires you to line up the deflector and use self tapping screws,
I modified it to allow the use to pop rivet screw holes ( like the U.S. version ).
Prime advantage, allows me to remove the deflector ( including bases ), for waxing.
You have to drill into your X for this one,
a hard pill to swallow.. measure twice,
then measure two more times
Without a template, I had to find the center of the window and the center of the deflector, used masking tape to outline the bases, then match the holes.. then do it again.
The rest is fairly easy, I siliconed the holes.. I found it helps standing on a box to get the right eye level... and a second pair of hands is a must.
IIt works, the rear window is a lot cleaner, and I've cut down on the washer fluid and wiper.
It works better without the basket & front deflector... but still a lot cleaner with them in.

Since the heavy road grime isn't around during the summer,  it should work well in the summer when I put my basket & deflector back on.
