Been waiting for this ever since I installed the K&N Air Charger last year.
Knew I wanted a Stainless Steel System for our harsh winter, along came some details for a custom bent, one piece system.
Timing was good, my stock system was already developing some seam cracks, and didn't have much life left to it.
2 1/4" OD Pipe from the Y after the Cats, to the tip.
I ordered it sight unseen, and had it installed. (June 14, 2003)
Still testing it out (Its only been on for 2 days  & 700 kil)
Real deep, get out of my way,  throaty sound.
With the K&N Charger, I had good pick-up till 2500 rpm.. now it keeps going to 3000-3500 rpm
I actually have to get use to shifting quicker on acceleration or I found it gets away from me.
The one thing I didn't exactly know about, a 4" OD Tip.
A little too obvious for my tastes, not being one to be measured by the size of one's tip. ;)
I'll leave it as is for now, but I am considering going to something smaller and less obvious, and curve it up closer to the bumper.
Due to the size and the hitch, I needed to install the spacer for the final hanger. (The spacer comes with most hitches)
Quick review.
Definite growl, nice butt factor performance, actual gain unknown.
It does tend to drone a bit when cruising at highway speed, not irriatating yet, but I might look into some extra sound insulation for the cargo area and side panels.
