Nothing to really add to the install, almost the same as my Piaas I did find a better (easier) way of fishing wire into the cabin.. instead of a stiff coat hanger, this time I used a 36" Zip Tie. Stilff enough to push through, flexible enough to twist around, when you are ready to go, insert the wire into the head (eyelet) of the zip tie, it locks into place, then pull it on through. Took all of 2 minutes. |
Switches Most of the time, I look for the simple stuff. I could never cut plastic straight if my life depended on it for regular rocker switches. I found these at Radio Shack a good while ago and have been using them ever since. A Medium sized rocker, the body sticks out maybe 1/4", the charm of them is they install is like a toggle switch. You drill a round hole (hard to goof up), insert the switch, plug and done. I twist the switch body until the are straight and lock the nut on the backside. If I decide to have the switch sideways, I could always twist them afterwards. |
After having my lights on the bar, I started to have some concerns on someone backing into them since they are relatively low and unprotected. I decided to mount them up on the bumper. It also gives a better range for the pencil beams and a fuller field of light. No sure which way looked better. |
