We started off on the West coast in Vancouver, British Columbia - where, I believe, it is illegal to kill a swan because they still 'belong' to the queen - which is a lovely city and well worth a visit.
After a brief stay there, we spent a couple of days on Vancouver Island, and went in search of Orca, but found only boring minky whales and porpoises.
Then, we drove East through BC and Alberta, (in air-conditioned comfort whilst there was a heat-wave outside), stopping off at Jasper, Whistler, Lake Louise and Banff, before spending a week in Canmore.
Me and my bro ripped up some gnarly trails on mountain bikes, and braved the dangers of the Kicking Horse River rapids.
We saw elk, moose, whales and bears (including a couple of adorable cubs!), all in the wild!
It is imperative that you visit this wonderful country before you die...
