Mirogol
Once there Elziba found him, twining her fingers with him and he took strength from her touch. They stood there together and watched as the eggs started to hatch. Elziba would explain to him later exactly what happened because he lost all track of time and hatchlings. He knew the first to hatch was a green and that the second and third were a brown and a bronze. He didn't keep track from there. Much later in the hatching a bronze and a blue burst from their shells and the bronze strutted over putting on a show. Mirogol looked down in wide eyed shock when a voice touched his mind. ![]() Mirogol looked down at the bronze hatchling in shock, a grin spreading over his face as he said the first thing that came to his mind. "Wow, Laneth, flashy entrance!" Thank you crooned the bronze, his eyes whirling with a touch of red. Can we eat now? I'm starving! "Of course! Come with me, Laneth." Mirogol led the hatchling from the sands and found a bowl of meat waiting for them outside. He fed the hatchling pieces of meat, constantly reminding him to chew and smiled. He would be called M'rogol now which sounded much more manly than Mirogol. He said the new name several times to himself, Laneth even stopping his gorging for a moment to think it over and nod approvingly. M'rogol laughed and tossed the bronze another bite of meat. It wasn't until much later once all the hatchling were snoozing contentedly, their bellies full that M'rogol laid eyes on Elziba again. He grinned at her as she walked up and she whispered her congratulations in his ear. He suddenly realized he had no idea if she'd impressed or not and immediately asked her, apologizing profusely. "It's okay, I understand, you were a little involved," said Elziba. M'rogol tried to protest and Elziba put a finger to his mouth. "Really, it's okay. I impressed Fiameth, a gold." She said it so calmly, but her grin betrayed her excitement and M'rogol picked her up, spinning her around and planting a big kiss on her lips. She grinned and giggled happily as he spun her. When he finally put her down she laced her fingers through his and they headed for the dining hall, completely famished after the stress of the hatching and taking care of their new dragons. |
