The player attitude of Denver is affected by the casualness of the MUX, and the availability of easy, well paying runs that have little consequence and little wait until the action.  What it creates is an atmosphere where people are so used to instant gratification, that they dont chase so well.  I liken it to a fat american businessman, retired on somepoor taitian island.  He rests a pina colada on his engorged, sweaty belly while mistresses on his payroll offer their services to him.  When they dont offer, he gets bored and angry, but he rarely leaves his deck chair to chase them or find new mistresses, because he has grown so fond of sitting on his ass.

As dramatic as this seems, its not too far from the truth.  If Denver lacks any one type of PC, its the Chaser.  A chaser is someone who is hungry for runs, and goes out to find them.  There are only a few PCs in the grid who chase, and of them I've not yet seen them chase to the conclusion, personally.  Azul's player, in whatever incarnation he may be in, is a Chaser.  Kotenka is a chaser.  Not many other people are chasers.

What do I mean?  Well, for instance, because PCs generally are used to instant runs, they dont do legwork so well.  Also, because ofthe sheer multitude of PrPs (if you havent been involved, in some way, with a PrP at least once a month, you're really not trying), players arent hungry, so they dont chase after runs.  And finally, because of this, players dont soft RP nearly as much as other places.  Cliques dont form, because on each run you're with someone new...runs arent planned, they just happen, and you grab whoever's available to fill the numbers up.

This suits some people, and doesnt suit some others.  In Summary :
Denver creates a friendly atmosphere with almost zero player-v-player competition
It rewards active PCs and GMs with lots of karma and material rewards for their PCs
Runs and jobs are more available, however they are generally not long lasting, in depth or have any lasting consequences
Soft RP is lacking - the mux is not as immersed in RP as other places
Elements of Shadow RP have been cut out
PC Concepts that are not runners have trouble
Staffer interaction is minimal, outside of the PrP sphere not much seems to happen.
Powergaming may occur as PrPs generally are far from lethal and are relatively easy.

In my mind, the positives outweigh the negatives, however I am hoping to see some of the lackings of this MUX addressed.  All in all, its a good place, and of the three active SR MUXes, the only one I still play on.
