Film cameras where there for the movie's wrap party and was shown in the 'Making of Xanadu' special. Apparently, so was the Hollywood Reporter and it was briefly reported in the publication's regular 'party' column called 'The Great Life' by George Christy. It was printed in February 14, 1980 - don-o.

"We tap dance in the movie from the '40's to the '80's," beamed Olivia Newton-John at the late-night "wrap" party for "Xanadu" on the two sound stages of Hollywood General Studios. Olivia, who stars in "Xanadu" with Gene Kelly and Michael Beck, welcomed Cher, Hart Bochner, Joel Dean, Paul Ryan (
who hosted the 'Making Of Xanadu' TV special-dono), David Sarro, along with the "thousand or so" cast members, crew and guest of the cast and crew. Champion roller skater Gary Dion met Sandal Bergman, who'll star in Dino de Laurentiis' next film, as they listen to Blue Saad and the Next, Richard Perry's new musical group that Becky Sue Epstein clams "plays the best new music I've heard in a long time." Universal's Thom Mount and best friend Beverly Baker arrived from "The Blues Brothers" wrap party at Universal, where John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd got carried away with one of the nonstop numbers which had everyone on the floor, who co hosted with exec producer Lee Kramer and director Bob Greenwald, were complimented on the umpety-ump buffet choices provided by James Catering and the fast-action bars that stayed open through the night. Jim Stelmasek, and he and his confreres dressed in '40s garb - thrift-shop knickers and argyle sweaters and socks. Over Jim's chicken with pearl onions, Casablanca's Don McHenry revealed that he and Sam Gellis will be appointed vice-presidents at Columbia Picture. Leif Garrett couldn't stop embracing Carrie Carle ("she's just a student"); David Martin talked with film critic Barry Brenaen about his "new wave music" special, "Hollywood Heartbeat" on KABC; and Chuck Binder told everyone to be on the lookout for a new actress Khaki Hunter. Then, there was the news any day now Universal will announce that Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds will costar in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas."
