Simply, a hookah is a tool used to smoke things- such as shisha (sticky, wet tobacco, mixed with honey, flavouring, and smells nice). It could also be used for.. well, anything. **I recommend never trying to smoke Drum tobacco, or any kind of tobacco, for it is very harsh.**

Appendix A

Refer the letters in this paragraph to Appendix A: Take your smokeable, put it in the bowl (A), which is wrapped around the top in tin foil. Poke a lot of holes in the tinfoil, so that you can kind of see the smokeable through the small holes. Place a piece of burning charcoal ontop of the tinfoil. Take the hose (D), and begin to inhale sharply at the end not connected to the hookah. This will cause the water in the chamber (E) to start to bubble. The long rod that goes from the top to the bottom will do something (I really don't understand this part, or the next part). The coal lights the wet tobacco, which turns into smoke, and somehow (through magic maybe), the smoke goes down (through the chamber? (E)) and into the hose (D), and into your mouth. It tastes very sweet. Part B is used to catch burning pieces of coal, in case it falls off the tin foil. This protects the coal from falling to the ground and shattering. Part C is used if one wants to attach a second hose.

There are a great number of sites on the web that explain what a hookah is or how it works in better detail, (like this one). There are lots of sites that sell you shisha or hookah paraphanalia also. If you don't want your hookah to get confiscated, just smoke legalities in it (no hash, opium, or weed people).

Your hookah ain't gonna smoke itself.. unless you build a robo-hookah, that CAN smoke itself.. In that case, your robo-hookah ain't gonna build itself..
