Ultima Online, An Brief Explation of

There is a game, called Ultima Online. It's set in medievalish times, and you can be either gender. There are magicians, thieves, .. zombies, Raziel*, and other people, all playing on the internet, in real-time (so Johnny's over at his house and asks me to buy some feather down, I am over here and sell it to him, it's nothing like MSN, but the same).
*I hate this mo-foe.

A game this popular can't be held all on one server (ie, Counter Strike, Starcraft, any online game basically), so there are a lot of servers. For people living in Mississauga, there is a server that caters to people living in Mississauga (which also has Swedish and Mexican people, for no apparent raison), and this server is called SaugaUO. If you purchase/obtain this game free, you can sign up as a member on that site, and will join this server.

In the game, there are towns. Jhelom is one of them. (The picture is on the front page, and you can see Jhelom. It's two or three islands.) Since nobody lives in this town, I have become mayor of this town, and made a website about it. (Well, I was left with a blank URL slot for Town's URL, so I figured why the hell not? Something to do between work and sleep.)

Thus, the basic principles are explained, to anyone who wants to know.
