The Ultimate Triple Hamburger Meal - 80%

I enjoyed on Saturday, July 30th, a fine meal from the local Wendy’s Restaurant (#6450). Located on Dixie Road, in Mississauga, on the corner of Aimco Boulevard, is a building that is half Tim Hourtons, half Wendy’s. On this particular day, the customers seemed to be few and far between. I wasted no time waiting in a long line-up, and was greeted by a friendly cashier. She was very helpful to me in determining the cost and quantity of the food I desired. I had some very specific measurements in mind for my food, and the chef assembled it all together very well.
The dining section of the restaurant was clean and well-kept. There was a worker who was always mopping, cleaning up leftover wrappings, scrubbing the windows, or taking out the garbage. I sat facing south-west and examined my meal. The medium drink, a combination of Barq’s Root Beer and Coca-Cola, was without ice, like I had asked. The largest-sized fries were also as I had requested; cooked twice as long as normal fries so as to become well done, and saltless.
My burger was a monster of a burger. I clearly hadn’t thought through my order before giving it. I had ordered a Triple burger, on a normal bun, with moderate portions of ketchup, mayo, pickles, lettuce, a singular tomato, four cheese slices of two different flavours, and three moderately cooked meat patties, of four ounces each (three quarters of a pound). Those sections of my burger were fine. What I shouldn’t have asked for was extra onions and extra red onions, which came in two heaping, multi-colored piles. The entire burger tasted like onion. Also, a Triple was much too large and difficult to hold, with all the toppings collectively trying to mesh into one bun that just wasn’t big enough.
Overall, I really enjoyed the meal. The food was very fresh and tasty. To be more specific, the fries were crunchy, the pop was fizzy, and the burger was good, onions aside. I felt full and content after I was done. As I ate, and wrote down a few notes, I contemplated how ethnic the staff at Wendy’s was. There were several employees from various countries in Asia, there were at least two visible Europeans, and I think I even saw an Australian. The chefs were nice and seem to do a good job.
Once I got home, I went onto Wendys.com and found out the nutritional value of the meal I had just consumed. Using the calories as a basis, I decided that Wendy’s food appeared to be very unhealthy. There were about 130 calories in the drink, 590 calories in the fries, and an astonishing 1100+ calories in the Triple burger. I had gained roughly 1700 calories, from one meal and drink. It would take about 14 hours of running at an average speed of 5 kilometres an hour to burn off this meal. The burger also contained 210 mg of cholesterol. I analyzed the information and considered next time either going to a more expensive, healthier restaurant, or just making something myself. Calories aside, it was a very tasty meal. It was delectable and palatable. I give this restaurant three and a half stars out of five.
