THE TRUTH
Vol. 1 Issue 3
December 9, 2000
Editorial
Hello all my faithful subscribers! Welcome to the third issue of The Truth! I see more X-Philes have subscribed this week. If you are a new subscriber, again, welcome! I have some news for you. The speakout column is shut down. So I send out a Help Wanted invitation to you all. If you’re interested, e-mail me. Also, all of you Real Life X-File fans, that column will be posted every other week, since Sweet Li does a lot of research for it. (sigh) More bad news. Our Classic X-Files reviewer, RageGrrl, is out of commission this week also. She does promise to be back next week. So, all in all, this week’s newsletter is shorter. Oh! But we do have a new columnist! DDGA4eva will be bringing us the Snogger’s Column every week. Snogger, you ask? I’ll let her explain. Anyway, after all that, let me let you read this week’s offerings! Enjoy!
In this week’s issue:
News
Review of "Invocation"
Shipper’s Corner
Snogger’s Column
Mulderisms/Scullyisms

RATINGS FOR INVOCATION
"CBS returned to the top of the overnight metered market ratings (Dec. 3)
Sunday, helped by football and "Touched by an Angel." The net pulled an
average 10.6 rating/ 16 share (last week, 10.7/15) to ABC's 8.4/12
(11.4/16) to win the night. FOX, behind "The X-Files," was third, 8.0/12
(7.8/11), while NBC slipped to fourth with a 6.4/9 (12.6/18). The WB took
home a 2.8/4 (2.7/4) in fifth.
""Futurama" started the night for FOX with a 4.9/8 (4.9/7), followed by "King
of the Hill" with a 5.7/9 (5.6/8). At 8 p.m. "The Simpsons" took a 9.5/14
(9.1/13), followed by a "Malcolm in the Middle" repeat, 8.6/12 (8.8/12). A
new episode of "The X-Files" was the night's top show for FOX, taking a
9.7/14 (9.2/13)."
THE AWFUL TRUTH CHATS WITH ELLEN ABOUT GILLIAN
There is some interesting stuff about Gillian Anderson in the latest edition of
E! Online's Ted Casablanca column, The Awful Truth. Here is an excerpt:
"And what is happening with Ellen [DeGeneres] and her tabloid-reported
kissing partner Gillian Anderson?
"'No, we're together, that's true,' she said with a smile and a wink. 'Gillian
and I have been friends for a long time, and we were kissing goodbye.'
"Oh, hell, I smooch all my best girlfriends, too, so what's not to believe?
"When Gillian was asked about the media's speculation about her own
sexuality and how that has affected her involvement for gay rights, she
claimed, 'Oh, it hasn't. People can speculate as much as they want, and it's
fine. You know they say a lot of things, either true or untrue, that I choose
not to comment on because it's really nobody's business.'"

INVOCATION 8x06
By Jesouhaite (Jeosouhaite78@hotmail.com)
Invocation: the act of invoking a deity or spirit for aid or protection. Even though I didn't
exceptionally LOVE this episode, it was still good. Once again, Scully and Doggett were at odds with their
beliefs and even he had to try to explain the unexplainable. We also learned a little more about Doggett's
history. So who was that little boy in that picture he keeps in his wallet? Son? Brother? Is the kid dead or
alive? I find it rather odd though that Mulder's whole reason to find the Truth, was to find his sister, and now
another agent has something to do with someone close to him, but no longer with him. I just hope it doesn't
turn out that this child was abducted by aliens as well..:)
That little kid was definitely creepy though. He saved his brother from suffering the same fate that he had
and got closure in the end for his own death, which is what his spirit came back to do. Once again, no
mention of Mulder or Scully's pregnancy. They don't have to mention it in every episode, but once in a while
a little hint on how the pregnancy is going would be nice. After all the poor woman has been running through
a desert, getting thrown up against walls and having evil worm creatures stuck in her back. I just want to
know how she hasn't lost the baby yet?
And finally, once again, Scully sang. The last time she attempted to sing was in Detour (Jeremiah was a
Bullfrog) Have any of you heard her in the song "Extremis" by Hal? I think it's a pretty awesome song. That's
all for now. I'll be back next week with my review for "REDRUM". Until then...
SHIPPER'S CORNER*
By Jesouhaite (Jeosouhaite78@hotmail.com)
One of the best scenes of all time which marks one of the largest turning points in Mulder and Scully's
relationship!!
SCULLY: You don't need me, Mulder. You never have. I've just held you back.
(Mulder looks at her with that hurt puppy dog look in his eyes. She drops her eyes from his and turns to
leave.)
SCULLY: I gotta go.
(He waits for a moment, then Mulder follows her out into the hallway.)
MULDER: You wanna tell yourself that so you can quit with a clear conscience, you can, but you're wrong!
(She stops and turns to face him.)
SCULLY: Why did they assign me to you in the first place, Mulder? To debunk your work, to rein you in, to
shut you down …
MULDER: But you saved me! As difficult and as frustrating as it's been sometimes, your goddamned strict
rationalism and science have saved me a thousand times over! You've kept me honest ... you've made me
a whole person. I owe you everything ... Scully, and you owe me nothing.
(Through this speech, Scully looks at him in shock as his honesty flows out. Her eyes begin to fill with tears.)
MULDER: I don't know if I wanna do this alone... I don't even know if I can ... and if I quit now, they win.
(Scully's tears begin to silently flow. Her lovely bottom lip quivering with emotion, she falls into him, holding
him tightly as his arms enfold her. She closes her eyes as her tears fall onto his shoulder. She pulls back
and kisses him on his forehead, then gently rests her own forehead on his, still crying. Mulder slowly pulls
her face back so he can look at her, his hands resting on the back of her head. She looks into his eyes, her
hands resting on the back of his head as well. Her tears flow, her lip quivers, she sees something in his
eyes which tells her they're both thinking the same thing, at least to me, anyway. They both lean in for The
Kiss ... lips do touch for a brief, shining second ... then she suddenly grabs the back of her own neck and
says ...)
SCULLY: Ow!
MULDER: (thinking he's done something wrong) I'm sorry.
SCULLY: Something stung me.
(Mulder reaches down and plucks out the bee, holding it in his fingers, its little legs squirming in the air.)

SNOGGERS COLUMN
by: ~ddga4ever~ <ddga4ever@edsamail.com.ph>
Ok, first of all this is the newest column at THE TRUTH.
Some of the X-Philes haven't heard about "Snoggers". So...What the heck is
snoggers? And who are they?
Since this is my first article here in THE TRUTH, I will tell you first
what a snogger is? A snogger is a person who is strongly believes that Gillian
Anderson and David Duchovny have a so called "relationship". It's
like a Relationshipper (or Shipper in short), people who believe that
Scully and Mulder should live and love each other.
I will not promise anyone that all of my snogger news is true. Well
I only leave up to you if you will believe or not.
So what is the news that I have heard lately???? Oh! A very good one
from Blue Piper. Actually this is a post from one of the sites and up to
now, Blue Piper's snogger is still up and lots of snoggers keep on beaming
on her news...the post is kinda long. So if you want that news, just
email me at ddga4ever@edsamail.com.ph
SNOGGER QUOTE: From Gillian Anderson. She said that "I prefer to go
with dangerous man. I don't consider Tom Cruise as a dangerous man but I
DO concider David Duchovny as a dangerous man"
Well I guess that’s all for now. I want to apologize if I couldn't post Blue
Piper's news...I think I have limited space here...and of course I
wanted to surprise all of you...
