Let's visit Revelation 17:9 for starters. It states, "And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth." Here we get cheers from the voters for Rome stating that Rome is Babylon. It sits upon seven"hills". Now we all know that in the bible there are symbolic meanings for things such as mountains, horns, etc. After that verse we have, "And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come..." No more talk of mountains so Rome's claim to M.B. (Mystery Babylon) isn't much. Those who chose the USA, with the New York area in mind says our Lady Liberty has 7 spikes on her crown which represent the seven seas and continents. Another point for the USA voters; the city of Babylon is not very far from our Mystery Lady. So the question now is, "Who do you believe?". I believe the Holy Spirit so if you really think this is something to ponder then He may help you in your quest if you truly want the answer. Praying, fasting, meditating on the Word may be of some use here. |
