Admissions

Admissions to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters is competitive, though students with special circumstances are encouraged to apply. Because of its small size, Xavier's offers an excellent student-to-faculty ratio with faculty and staff available to students on a regular basis. Students are encouraged to think independantly and develop their gifts on an individual basis. Students in the preparatory division are reguired to take a number of core classes, usually in the morning time block. In the afternoon, students take recommended elective courses and are encouraged to participate in the athletics program. At the undergraduate level, students plan unique majors under the direct supervision of faculty mentors. Graduate students are expected to actively research while attending a number of advanced seminars at the discretion of their graduate faculty advisors. Please see the appropriate links below.

For Prospective Students:     Please prepare the following for submission via email:         1. Transcript: Please list all courses taken, the name of your home institution, and the division to which you are applying. Please also state your GPA and your major GPA (if applicable).     2. Test Scores: Though not required, Xavier's encourages the submission of scores from appropriate standardized tests (SAT, GRE, etc.).     3. 1 Page Essay: Describe your background and explain your interest in Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.
