   Inferiority: little confidence in ability to do well because not prepared to face life or negative experiences

Self-concept: in terms of competencies, psychological traits, social comparisons

Self-esteem:
   Comparison of perceived self with ideal self
   Different dimensions can be valued differently: physical, academic, social
      Impact of cultural values
   Authoritative parents and teachers are highly demanding and highly responsive
