Co-sleeping is hard to accept in western society but is a usual thing in other cultures
   Leads to fewer sleep problems, can feed anytime, closer child-parent relationship

Breast feeding: contributes to rapid weight and size gains, stimulates immune system
Provide healthy foods; babies usually know what they need

Malnutrition in macronutrients: too few calories => marasmus: thin, danger of death
Malnutrition in micronutrients: deficiency in vitamins and minerals

Sudden infant death syndrome:
   More common in winter, if sleep on stomach, if surrounded by fluffly things, if diet low in fat
