Chapter 7: Cognition

Concept formation: How information gets to be organized in long-term memory.
     Artificial/logical concepts: learned by applying specific rule.
     In reality, things are not so clear-cut though.
     Natural concepts: brain relies on previous experiences to abstract most frequent features and average them.
          =>Prototype formation.
          Allow us to make generalizations and to infer things, as well as create false memories.
          We transform information to make it fit our expectations and schemas.

Thinking and memory are constructive processes.
