| This site grew out of an idea for a series of profiles of interesting people who are singled out by other interesting people for recognition. It comes from questioning what would happen if every interesting person I met would share with me another interesting person -- where it might ultimately lead. | After spending only a short time in his presence, the common conclusion is that Fred Birchmore is a bit unusual. Fred starts out each morning by standing on his head. While in that position, he moves and kicks his legs around to get a complete workout. Although this is part of his morning routine, Fred has been known to stand on his head and sing for the entertainment of schoolchildren.
