Because we're limited on how many photos we can show on Flickr, Korey's putting the lion's share of the Alaska photos on another site, called Pickle

You can go to YouTube now and view two versions of our wedding ceremony (one in all color and one in color and black and white) courtesy of my cousin Jason, who handled our wedding video. It seemed so much longer than a 10-minute ceremony when we were up there!

I now have three videos done from our trip to Alaska -- the Native Heritage Center in Anchorage, our uneventful Portage Glacier cruise and the train ride to Denali. I hope to get the vid from Denali edited soon. Follow the link below to find them on YouTube.

I'd like to thank all of you who had a hand in making our wedding and honeymoon trip truly memorable. It made us so happy to see those of you who were able to come to the wedding -- and to get the warm wishes from those of you who weren't able to make it. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect start to our marriage.

As for Alaska, we had a wonderful time seeing a bit of the heritage, rafting and hiking through Denali and dropping into artsy shops and whale watching in Seward. Though rainy weather and wildfires kept us from a flighseeing tour, we were able to enjoy the tops of mountains jutting through the clouds and peer down on glaciers we had marveled at on the ground as our flight departed Alaska.

Korey was disappointed that we didn't see any bears on the trip. He was even more disappointed when several people on one of our train rides said we had just missed one a few miles back.
In total, our wildlife tally was:
0 bears
2 snowshoe hares
Several eagles, including one flying alongside the train
2 flying swans
6 moose, including a mother with 2 calves
Several Dall sheep along the cliffs
3 humpback whales, including a yearling showing off with flips of his tail
1 sea otter
3 harbor seals
Several sea lions
Hundreds or thousands of birds in rookeries along the coast
Puffins
Innumerable insects, including the infamous mosquito

We were in Denali for the solstice, which meant a day without any night. Many nights the sky was blue and pink around 1 a.m.
