Scotland Trip
11th July 2002, we flew to Glasgow, taking a train to Edinburg (1.5 hour). We toured around Edinburg via the City Tour bus. We were amazed by its unique building built on rocky cliff.  We reached Dundee that evening. We were welcomed by Wei and Yufu. We enjoyed a great dinner at their flat.
12th July, we attended Wei's graduation. We are very proud of her for getting a first class degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Well done!
On 13th July, we hired a car and drove pass Inverness,
Lochness and reached Isle of Skye that evening. We put up a night in a decent Scottish cottage at Luib Bed and Breakfast.
14th July 2002, after a fabulous Scottish breakfast, we embarked on our journey to tour around the island, anti-clockwisely.  It was quite a cloudy day, fortunately it wasn't raining. We were amazed by the loches, mountain, cliff, waterfalls and the nature. We visited the
Skyeskyns Tannery at Waternish (the most beautiful heaven found on the island!), and enjoyed the briefing given by the owner.
We left Isle of Skye on 15th July 2002 and drove towards Fort William, where we took a cable car to the
Ben Nevis Range, the highest peak of Scotland, and UK as well. In the same day, we visited a whisky distillery - Ben Nevis Distillery at Fort William; having a boat trip to the seal colony in Oban (a lovely fishing port!)! We reached Loch Lomond the same day in the late evening, putting a night in the Loch Lomond YHA, the nicest YHA we have ever stayed!
15th July 2002, early in the morning, we returned the car at Glasgow. We visited
Aik Choon Tan at his university, University of Glasgow. We visited his department,  Transport Museum and Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery. We flew back to Cambridge on 16th July 2002.
